After a disastrous experience at my first hotel, Terma Linca, I was desperately looking for a solution for the next few days in Thimpu. Before checking in, I looked at the hotel and then went back to my previous hotel to get my suitcases. Good mattresses and a quiet room without constant background noise from the heating were particularly important to me. Positive: The rooms are new and clean, well-equipped, although the furniture has plastic coverings. The room was quiet, and I was able to enjoy the advantage of a central location. Another positive aspect was that I didn't have to pay at check-in like I did at the first hotel. I would like to give special mention to a lady at breakfast on the second day, Ms. Tshering Choden, who understood me completely and made me a very good breakfast due to the small number of guests and no buffet. Negative: The breakfast is more in the three-star category. It lacked granola, fine oatmeal, and a small selection of nuts. In a good hotel, it is not acceptable by international standards for a hotel to charge extra for a cappuccino at breakfast. At breakfast, unlimited hot drinks are always included in the price. Overall, I can recommend the hotel.
