I have been staying at this motel for over 15 years every summer. The last 4 years it has really declined overall! The price has tripled and quality has declined. The rooms used to be nice and only $50.00! Now they are sub par and after taxes over $140.00.. Specifically the room looked to be half way done. Half of the room had missing trim and was half painted. The ceiling was half painted. The air conditioner did not work correctly. The lighting was very dim. There used to be 2 night stands with 2 lamps. Now there is only 1 nightstand with 1 lamp and a single light on the ceiling. You used to get multiple pillows and now you only get the two comforter pillows. The bed is okay, not great. The bed sheets were not soft either. We had bunk beds in our room as well that had really hard cheap mattresses. My child was not comfortable at all. The bedding overall was cheap and the fleece blanket in-between the comforter and bed sheet appeared very old. The bathroom had been updated however they forgot to finish the tile grout as it was almost gone completely and the caulk in-between the shower walls was also almost gone. The bathroom cabinet is newer and in good condition. The floor was dirty in the bathroom. The lamp shade was dusty. For the price we paid we will not be staying there again.

I had a solid trip.. The room was a little pricey for what you get but overall it was a good stay. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. I will be to thermopolis and will likely stay here again. This hotel has good water pressure and the beds were power comfortable.

The service was kind and courteous. The room was comfortable, well-decorated according to the theme, and somewhat spacious. The owner gave me a car air-freshener on my way out. I would stay here again! The photos were taken with a novelty fisheye lens.

The check in hostess was very nice; however the rooms are tired and in need of renovation. Our bathroom had a shoddy leak repair. Not very appealing. Bed was ok and the room seemed clean. Somewhat noisy from the highway , and guests above had barking dogs.

Let me begin by saying that the staff was extremely friendly and understanding in all of our dealings with them concerning our experience at the Elk Antler Inn. I very much appreciated their attitude and willingness to work with us. We were traveling to a camp north of Yellowstone and were going to meet another family in Thermopolis and stay at the Elk Antler Inn. We arrived and went to our room. Immediately we noticed a terrible smell. I went into the bathroom and opened the toilet only to find that someone had dedicated in the toilet and it was still sitting in there and seemed to have been for a long time. Looking around I noticed the bathroom had not been cleaned. I went to the front desk and they immediately sent someone to clean the bathroom and offered to take 25% off our bill. We decided to give it a try since they were so apologetic. However, I then tried to turn on the air conditioner which would not turn on. I noticed that the air conditioner was covered in a coat of greasy dirt and then noticed that all the floorboards were also covered in dirt and filth. It was also obvious the carpets had not been cleaned in a long while. Of course, once you start seeing those things you just start seeing item after item that needed attention. The furniture was all beat up and worn out, it appeared that the top bunk in the room the sheets had not been changed. At this point, we decided we could not stay with our three kids and we would need to drive on to Cody to find another hotel. I told the people at the front desk we would not be staying and that our friends on their way would not be staying either. They were very apologetic and understanding which again I appreciated. This looks like a neat little inn but it is in desperate need of a deep cleaning.

Leah the manager is very good. works hard to make sure everything is right. Very responsive. They are lucky to have her! Hotel is ideal for a base camp for hunting and fishing. I left a toiletries kit at the hotel. Leah reached out to me to make sure it was mine. She then sent it to my home. Very easy to work with as it related to booking. She keeps a very clean well organized motel. positive attitude. I will be back!

For what it was, it was nice. Things fairly well maintained. Location very convenient. No convenient all hours ice. Not all dogs want to be loved on by strangers but that seems to be the expectation.

We arrived with no plans but when we saw the town and hot springs we decided to stay. It was opening week of hunting season and the town was full. However we got a few recommendations from a local business. KC at the Elk Antler Inn greeted us with a smile and recommendations for where to eat and the options for hot springs in town. It’s an older inn with some recent remodeling that made it both clean and comfortable. One of the best places I’ve stayed at with a cost under $100. Thank you KC and Ed.

We stayed here while in the area on our road trip. We arrived late as a result of driving through snow in the pass from Buffalo, WY. We were welcomed when we got there and were given some tips on places to eat and visit. The room was fine, clean and comfortable. It was a bit small, but adequate. The WiFi wasn't too quick, but that was to be expected in this area. It was OK for an overnight stay and I would recommend it.
