The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center

Conveniently located with easy access to dining and shopping. Comfortable beds, excellent bedding, and quiet environment provide a pleasant stay. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff offer outstanding service.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on a Thurs/ Fri. When we arrived there was a line for the elevator because of a large convention group was there. We parked accross the street which cost us $29. a night with tax, which is added to your hotel bill. It was a little confusing when we pulled in the garage as to what side to park on for the Marriott guest, it was not clearly marked and we did end up parking on the wrong side. Our room was spacious, clean and overlooked the waterway. The room darkening curtains worked well, although I did have to use a clip to keep the middle together, which is common at most hotels. One hotel hack I've discovered, is you can use a pant hanger with clips to hold the curtain together. The nice sized closet had plenty of hangers. We dined in the lounge, the reastaurant is not open for dinner. The selection was limited, but we had a $15 daily food credit as Marriott Bonvoy members so we got a decent discount. The food was mediocre. The second might we used our credit for drinks at the bar, I do not drink alcohol, but the hotel had some good mocktails which I appreciated, as it is not always easy to find bars that serve mocktails. We were impressed with the service both nights. I used the hot tub on the first night, It was ok, but several bugs in the water. I think it's that way in this part of Texas this time of year. I did see a roach on the ground when I was heading down to the pool area, but it was outside and not anywhere inside the hotel. The hotel was clean and well maintained. There was a guest washer and dryer next to the fitness center, which was free to use. Nice touch, I have never seen that before. All in all it was a good hotel and I would reccomend. It was expensive however, we were staying on reward points so the value to us was great. If I had paid for the stay it would have cost me $375 a night, plus resort fee and parking. Too expensive for my taste.

Nice hotel and a good location. Communication is terrible. Booked room for daughter’s wedding night. Requested 3 times, during booking, called front desk and requested through email that the couple is recognizing for their marriage and treated special. Unfortunately, nothing. They even had difficulty just checking in.
