I only stayed for one night due to a mistake in my reservation, but they were happy to change my stay for two nights.

We booked a 2 night stay in a suite through Qantas The hotel is quaint and in a fantastic location but that is about where the pros end. This hotel has no lift. And from what I can see. This important fact is not listed anywhere on any of their website nor Qantas’s website. The suite was Level 4 This meant we had to go up 4 flights of stairs, down a corridor through a fire escape up 2 more flights of stairs to get to the room Obviously this would have been tricky late at night so we requested a room on a lower floor. This also meant a lower class of room that the $1600 for 2 night suite we booked and because it was booked through a third party we were unable to get a refund. However we were offered dinner and breakfast to help with the $600 shortfall in room cost. Room 203 was on the second floor. It was adequate. there is a mini fridge but it’s empty. So no mini bar. As I find in most hotels the lighting for make up is terrible. So a suction mirror on the window had to do. There was construction going on next door that woke us at 5.45 on the Friday. On the Saturday- before checkout. I noticed a $120 charge on my credit card. I asked at the desk what this was for and was told it was for the dinner that was to be free of charge. The staff member said this can happen from time to time and he would go ahead and raise a credit for the incorrect garage. Never ever have I ever stayed in a hotel anywhere in the world where I have been charged for a meal that was booked to the room. Normally all charges are reviewed at check out and paid accordingly. Consequently we will not be back.

This is our third visit to Harbour Rocks Hotel. It’s one of our favourite hotels, so much old charm and amazing customer service, especially from Moss. They even gave us our favourite room. The hotel is a heritage building which we love. Comfy beds and pillows. Tayim restaurant is a winner too!

Convenient location and near where I needed to be, my overall experience was average, was hoping it was a great hotel. Room needs a refresh or update. The room was clean but fitting are old, tiles cracked, and very average for the price. Staff were helpful and friendly.

This hotel is in a great location and has a lot of character and charm to it. I enjoyed its convenience to some of Sydney's main attractions and appreciated the boutique nature of the hotel. Unfortunately, I had a pretty frustrating experience with the rooms that I was assigned. I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and ended up in 3 different rooms. The first room did not have working heat, which was necessary on a very cold evening. The staff kindly found another room for me which was great for that evening. After getting back to that room the next day after the day's activities, the room smelled like sewage. When I let staff about the issue, I was a little surprised that they didn't seem surprised by this news. They did, again, kindly find me another room (which was much larger than the previous two). While I appreciated being accommodated so that I had a room with a comfortable temperature that did not smell, I was really disappointed by the inconveniences I experienced having to pack and move rooms multiple times. I asked to please speak with a manager to discuss the issues, and I was told they would email me to let me know when I could speak with someone. I never heard back from anyone and was not offered any compensation or discount for the issues. Again, the hotel is in a great location but I wish I could have enjoyed my experience staying there more.

After an initial hiccup with our room it was remedied quickly. On noting it was my birthday after we returned from a walk there was a lovely hamper waiting in the room. Diego, Manager, could not have been more helpful. Highly recommend the hotel and location is close to Circular Quay, Opera House and CBD.

Moss, what can I say. Thank you for your hospitality and going above and beyond. You have exceptional customer service. The hotel has a great location and vibe. Very central to the rocks and what it has to offer. See you again soon, Harbour Rocks.
