A beautiful place and well worth the two nights we stayed . The cabin overlooked the beach and was adequate for our needs, though not luxurious. Contrary to the information in its brochure, it did provide toiletries and had a good signal. The days were warm but the nights were cold. The single blanket provided was not enough. We were cheerfully given more on request but that was after a cold first night.

We didn’t have a blanket in our room which we noticed after reception closed, so we were cold and had terrible sleeps (during winter) We went with another couple, their room hadn’t been cleaned and the second room they were given had someone already staying in it. Otherwise the island is beautiful

We had a great family holiday with 4 adults and 4 children. W We had 3 e had no expectations as most Google searches focused on the closed resort! WE had 3 Island cabins - clean and comfortable - some variation between them e.. 203 had no hanging cupboard and paint peeling off cupboards. WE loved Meal packages and food was good and service smiling and helpful. WE loved barefoot, casual and friendly. Maybe needs some TLC in common areas - paint and rubbish cleanup. #203 had pump area outside window that could be covered or improved. Overall great family holiday and value for money. Maybe a movie at night for kid? Beautiful geographically and beaches amazing. Maybe better signage on some of the walks?Thanks Mitchells-Griffiths.

Second visit to GKI and we loved it again. Friendly, professional & enthusiastic staff from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The self contained ‘Putney’ cabin was clean, fresh and comfortable. Service at the restaurant was friendly and quick. Overall the breakfast and dinner meals were tasty and well presented, with a good range of options.

De medewerkers zijn zonder uitzondering behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Speciaal de reserveringsafdeling was erg vriendelijk en meedenkend. Het lukte *********** niet om onze reserveringsdatum aan te passen, maar de reserveringsafdeling van GKI Hideaway gelukkig wel. De medewerkers op het eiland zijn veelal jonge mensen met een tijdelijke baan. Dat betekent veel enthousiasme, maar niet altijd voldoende ervaring en inzicht. Het management toont zich niet duidelijk sturend aanwezig waardoor het resort een goed bedoeld, maar rommelige karakter krijgt. Er lag afval hier en daar tussen de accomodaties, de toilet nabij het hoofdgebouw werd matig onderhouden, de staat van onderhoud van de accomodaties was matig, de bewegwijzering rondom Hideaway niet altijd aanwezig of in slechte staat. De keuken van het restaurant is verrassen goed, met erg leuke gerechten op de kaart.

The Great Keppel Island Hideaway was the perfect break from a busy life. A totally relaxed environment with friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant food was delicious (a big and pleasant surprise)! We stayed in the A-Frame House which was wonderful for us (but the steep stairs up to the bathroom might not suit the elderly or very young).

The staff were amazing friendly and helpful We stayed in the a frame house which was comfortable But lacking cooking facilities The facilities around the island are in need of some urgent repairs and not as clean as one might expect Everything is getting to that worn out stage Great place especially this time of year (April) we had excellent experience We will definitely return to the island for a 4th time Loved it
