The room was big enough for a group of 5 people and equipped with all the kitchen stuff needed for us to prepare quick meals after long days. Ocean Club was nice. I loved the gym right in front of the ocean, which made me feel like running on heaven.
There were also beach gears and collapsible chairs, but we knew them stored in storage outside the door on the checkout. Beach towels are provided to guests at the office.
There was no housekeeping during my stay of 3 nights. I had to vacuum by myself. 2 cocktoaches came inside the room on the first night, and their dried parts were founded beneath the sofa, but we took care of them. It was okay.
Except some minors. I enjoyed staying at Hali'i Kai.staffI met were all kind and sweet. Thanks. I would stay here again if I come visit Bigisland.

We stayed in this appartement complex and, despite a clean apartment and a pleasant complex, the experience was spoiled by the very poor quality of the facilities and unacceptable management. Some equipment seemed outdated and was even already damaged when we arrived. Some broke on the very first day upon arrival… The result: $700 in totally abusive charges to us (useless measurement for a simple replacement, $200 billed for 20 minutes of labor). The resort manager was totally inefficient, with no desire to help: just there to replace aging equipment at your expense! In short: a pleasant setting, but shameful practices and poor quality equipment. An absolute no-no if you're looking for a relaxing vacation!

Super chill experience. We stayed in a two bedroom condo. That’s very beginning of the resort. For us, it was very high-end very well kept and a great experience at the end of the property is the ocean and a bar, restaurant, and pool. This was also super chill. Cathy, who works in the bar restaurant and pool area provided amazing customer service. (Cathie, sorry if I misspelled your name) The bartenders were also great. It never felt crowded nor did we ever feel pressure to move along. On the customer service note I would consider this a 10 out of 10. The restaurant serving sizes were huge and the prices were comparable to other restaurants. And for value, because of the sizes, this restaurant out-shown every other restaurant we’ve been to on the island. Would we come back? Absolutely.

The town houses are big. Easily enough room for even a big family. The pool is great - especially for the little ones. And the food at the pool is excellent. Will be back!

We booked through ******* and didn’t know anything about the property that wasn’t listed. It exceeded our expectations and we would definitely book again! The condo was well equipped, had nice furnishings, the pool with ocean view was amazing and overall such a safe high end area. Our whole group couldn’t say enough good things about our stay.

Sunsets were spectacular from the pool. This property is so quiet, low key, small town just like us. The staff were beyond welcoming and amazing! Getting in to the main check-in through the gait was challenging initially. Our unit did not have a BBQ, which we missed; though it looks like most other units have one.

Booked a Premium Garden View room. Once we checked in all we saw was a parking lot and road and other buildings. When I inquired at check -in (which by the way is a window open from 10am to 6pm) they said Premium means larger room on the 2nd floor. Had we of known that we would have booked a regular room and saved the money since there was only 2 of us. The electronics in the room were EXTREMELY outdated. They even had a 30pin system for an Iphone 5 or lower. The TV's as well were extremely outdated. The kitchen could have used some updated amenities as well. The pool was nice, but if you wanted to 2 towels, some the people will give you a hard time. Room was clean, but if you need any extra you are on your own. Since we were leaving in the evening we asked for a late check-out. Unfortunately the room was booked for the next day which is fine; however we asked if they could our luggage. They stated - NO - as they could not be liable for our items. This is not a hotel, a resort or a VRBO - so if that is something you are expecting do not book this location.

Very nice property. Gated community with excellent staff. The pool area was very nice but there were no shaded areas unless you were using the dining services. Nice walking areas. Large 2- bedroom unit was a nice break from the small units we had at the large hotel chain facilities at the previous 3 islands that we stayed at.
