Alexandra Beach Spa Resort

We travelled as 3 generations from 11 months to 60+ in August. From the moment we arrived we enjoyed exceptional service in an immaculately clean environment. Rooms were as requested and the cot for the baby was spotless. Food options were amazing both at breakfast and dinner and we all managed to find things we liked including my 7 year old granddaughter. Wasps were an issue around food but this cannot be blamed on the hotel and everything possible was done to minimise this. Bar prices seemed reasonable and the pizza was especially enjoyed at lunchtime; portion sizes were very generous. All of the staff we came into contact with from reception, bar staff, restaurant staff and cleaning team were really friendly and polite. We were all really impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks for enabling us to have an enjoyable holiday.

Alexandra Beach Thassos Spa Resort is a fabulous holiday resort. Amazing room, pool, food and beach. Great little town nearby. Recommended 100%. Just got back from another TUI place in Corfu and there is literally no comparison. We actually went last August (2024) but I forgot to send the review.

We had a Great stay and services at all the time. Hotel Staff is amazing accommodating all requests. Great facilitiues and location.

I am writing this review as we are still on holiday. I was under pressure to get this holiday perfect as it was our first family holiday abroad and I failed miserably. I cannot wait to go home! I booked this holiday based on the amount of glowing reviews for both the hotel and the island. I suspect a lot of these reviews are made by Eastern Europeans who perhaps have different expectations than those from the UK. The hotel is ok. Clean and well maintained if a little dated and basic. The hotel staff are amazing. Very polite, friendly, professional and hard working. There are 2 pools, both of which are small and a baby pool. Both pools are 1.4m the entire pool (well there are signs saying this but I suspect there is a small difference between one end to the other other of about 6”). This meant that my 6 year old could not stand up in the ‘big’ pool but the water only came to his knees in the ‘baby’ pool, making it impossible for him to go in without one of us always holding him. Despite being small, you can almost always get a sunbed. The beach is accessed down some steep steps. There is sunbed service from the beach bar which is nice. The beach itself though is awful. As soon as you enter the sea, there are huge rocks and boulders covering the sea floor making it very difficult to walk and the sea bed drops very rapidly meaning my 6 year old is was out of his depth within a few steps. The food is ok. Lots of different things every day and the actual process of feeding everyone was impressive, organised and efficient. There’s not a lot to do other than pool/beach. You have to pay for the pool table and ping pong. We tried the beach the other side of the new marina (by the Oasis bar) for a change of scenery and it was ok. The food from the Oasis bar was quite good however the cheapest sunbeds were 50 EUR consumption from the bar (increasing to 100 EUR and 200 EUR for the better sunbeds!) HOWEVER…the wasps are HORRENDOUS!!! A lot of people have said ‘it’s just nature’ but this is on another scale!! If you are from the UK, you have never seen anything like it. SWARMS of wasps, all day, every day. We haven’t been able to eat outside a single time because as soon as you try to eat you are surrounded by 20 wasps. It’s not just the odd one or two. The burning of coffee grounds does nothing. You cannot relax anywhere. They are EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME! My eldest son got stung on his foot yesterday and he was in agony. His foot has swelled twice its size and he can’t really walk on it. I suspect he won’t be able to do much for the last 2 days. I am so disappointed and miserable. I just want to go home now.

We stayed for a week with my family .Everything was excellent, very clean and spacious room, nicely decorated , polite and helpful stuff, great variety of delicious food, fresh and different every day, beautiful place by the sea, excellent thalassa restaurant, kids friendly and I can go on! We will definitely come back !

Nice place to stay in Thassos. Sharing pool" room it's a good choice. I recommend an intensive treatment for removing the pool scaling
