Every staff member is expecting money for any small help One day, security guard at the maingate stoped my car and asked for Chai Pani Even I saw staff has a partiality towards indian guest compare to foreigners No welcome drink or garland for locals, wheras foreigners has it

We travelled to Thanjavur in Dec 24 with family and stayed at Sagam hotel for 1 night. Pros - 1) This hotel is strategically located with all prime attractions nearby. 2) Ample parking space, Things that could have been better - 1) Room had constant dampness, 2) check out process could have been smother. I would recommend this hotel for a weekend trip.

Stayed in Sangam Hotel from 8th to 12th as family. Stay was excellent. Usually we get only 2 beds with a roll away, was surprised to see us getting 3 beds in the same room. Room was very comfortable. This is centrally located if you want to go to Kumbakonam side or the Trichy side. We took a cab from the hotel were able to finish Navagraha places and were able to visit Kumbakonam temples, Gangai Konda cholapuram, Darasuram and of course Periya Kovil. You can cover quite a few Divya Desam's too. We went to Srirangam and few Divya Desam in and around Thanjavur, Trichy and Kumbakonam. Thanks to driver Saravanan who took us around to Navagraha and also to Dinesh who took us to Gangai Konda Cholapuram and Darasuram. Staffs are very helpful and cordial. Thillana is a must try, waiters and chef try to accomodate your request if it's feasible for them. Buffet spread was good. Be there early because, the more people come in they find it difficult to handle it. Would highly recommend this place, if you are looking to cover Trichy,Thanjavur, Kumbakonam areas. If it's only Navagraha places, Kumbakonam might be a better option. Overall it was an enoyable stay.

We stayed in Sangam hotel in Tanjore from 19 th to 22 nd Nov. The hotel carries a Chettinad tradition. The hotel is lovely and and very well designed. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. It was very well designed with adequate plug poinrs, well designed lighting , sufficient stoage space. Bed was firm and it was a pleasure to rest. Infact can't suggest any improvements. Keep it up. The breakfast was excellent. We had a special need for non spicy vegetarian food ( perhaps wrong to expect in Chettinad hotel ! ) for lunch and dinner . To our surprice and joy we did get them thanks to the Chef ( sorry, the name escapes my memory ) who took personal interest. Infact we got a couple of receipes from the willing chef. All staff members were very good, polite and helpful. We suggest that to enhane the experience the management should add some explanation of Chettinad culture, history, and cuisine and proudly and prominently display it.

Ambience, food and staff response is very good. It is 5 km away from thanjavur big temple. Spacious parking also available. Very safe to stay. I strongly recommend to stay in this property.

Another relaxing stay at this beautiful, old school yet modern hotel, and again Sweeta at reception and all staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We'll definitely stay here while visiting Tanjore in the future. Everything: location, rooms, bathroom, restaurant are perfect.

The hotel is well located, about 5 mins drive to the temple. It is in the heart of city. The swimming pool is well maintained. However, there is no lifeguard at duty, considering the fact that the deepest part is about 6 feet. The breakfast buffet was good, but the service could have been better. Room service was not prompt and have to be reminded if you need something. The property is well maintained.
