The Grand Ashok is located on the Trichy-Tanjavur highway, opposite the RTO. It is slightly located outside the city and about 8.9kms from the Thanjavur Railway Station. The hotel is clean and bright with large & spacious rooms. The rooms are bright, and have large windows. I was impressed with the cleanliness and freshness of the linen. Pillows were of the right softness and smelled good. The toilets are clean, with the right amenities and kept spotlessly clean. Room service is quick and efficient. They make an effort to speak in more than one language and ensure to help you. The buffet complimentary breakfast is served in the boardroom on the 1st floor. It can get a little crowded and stuffy hence go early. Food is good. Overall a good stay and worth the money.!!

The accommodation is fantastic and the people here are friendly and marvellous with their support. I recommend for the best stay in Tanjavour and if they start their own kitchen during afternoon and night still it will good . I believe they will be having their own kitchen for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is fantastic.

Its a good 3* Hotel, situated on main Trichy road surrounded by shops & eatries. The entrance of the Hotel is overcrowded as it has lots of eateries surrounding it. Parking of cars is only in open Hotel does not have in house Dinning hence they bring everything from neighbouring A2B (except Brakefast which has very limited menu) Hotel staff is good & co-operative.

The great hotel to visit in thanjavur. We love the atmosphere, service and standards. The place is with highway location to access all the area. Must visit. Service sequences has to appreciated as always. Please visit this area and enjay the temple which is best I've ever visited.

Don’t come in with high expectations
Our stay was quite average, below the expectations we were looking for. We were charged additionally for breakfast when we initially had booked with that service. The staff does not take international cards and none of this is mentioned prior to checking in. The food was very mid, and not very good. Would not recommend.
The hotel is new so was quite clean and spacious room. Only thing would be to bring some warm clothes as the room gets quite cold with the AC on!
Overall was a underwhelming experience.
