We stayed in Room 503 for two nights (April 1–3, 2025), and unfortunately, the condition of the property was disappointing.
Bathroom: The floors were dirty, and I have pictures showing mold in the corners, which forced us to shower with our slippers on. While a hairdryer was provided, there were no accessible plug points to use it, rendering it useless.
Toilet: The toilet was unstable and wobbled when in use because it wasn’t secured properly on one side. Additionally, the hand shower (bidet) next to the toilet was leaking, causing water to spray onto our legs and soak our clothes. One of the most baffling design choices at Svatma was the use of a glass door for the toilet, which felt awkward and impractical.
Room: The ceiling fan was covered in dust, and the bedsheets were extremely worn out, with noticeable pilling. Given the price (₹10,000 per night), we expected better-quality linens. On a positive note, the mattress and pillows were comfortable.
Surroundings: While the outdoor area in front of the hotel is beautiful, it was nearly impossible to enjoy a conversation with our friends due to the relentless mosquitoes. We also had mosquito issues inside our room, though the front desk promptly provided a Goodknight mosquito plug-in, which helped.
Pros:
The property itself is serene and aesthetically pleasing. We truly hope management addresses these concerns so that future stays can be more enjoyable.
