Room booked and paid for for a business trip, staff said they do not accept “emergency housing or winz clients” refused to honour the booking even though it was paid for. Racial profiling and discrimination of the highest level. Boycott.

Very average, Dust along skirting boards, light shade ripped, yes it’s paper, new bulb needed as main light didn’t go Black hair around sink in bathroom, I have white, partner had none. only very small amount of milk for coffee no shop nearby

Coastal Motor Lodge - had last rooms to spare, fully booked-up elsewhere around the area. Picture-postcard seaviews, great location, free carpark right outside chalet. Swim, sit & read under dappled tree in garden, watch the sunset; serene. (I have gait/walking challenges (stroke), wear a legbrace.) Airy, spacious, we had all we needed - we extended our chalet stay; superb staff, efficient service - simply excellent!

Finally found a motel in Thames that is nice. Good location. Great bed and pillows, very clean. Easy parking and only three minutes from town . Across the road from the beach. The only down sides were, the room heater didn’t work and it was very cold night, luckily the motel sitter found a portable heater that solved the problem. There was also an uncomfortable toilet seat that did not fit the toilet in our room. Minor things. We will definitely be back now that we do not have to stay in old , smelly run down accommodation.

Great location across the road from the beach. Our unit had its own balcony and was comfortable and well equipped. It was clean and tidy, towels laundered every day. Centrally located to Thames/Coromandel and local beaches. Loved our relaxing stay, we’ll be back.
