The rooms are comfortable, and there are suites perfect for families. The location is right in town, making it convenient for exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast is a full English option, cooked to order, and tastes delicious.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is in the centre of town where there are plenty of shops. The staff is helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom are spacious and well stocked with toiletries.

We recently had our wedding at The Spread Eagle Hotel, and it was everything we hoped for and more. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make our day stress-free and truly unforgettable. Special shoutout to Erica and Andrew who was incredibly professional, responsive, and supportive throughout the planning process. They made sure every detail was taken care of and helped everything run smoothly on the day. The food and drinks were excellent, and the on-site accommodations made things super convenient for us and our guests. It was such a relief knowing everyone could relax and enjoy themselves without worrying about transportation. Thank you for helping make our special day absolutely perfect!

Have has such an amazing relaxing weekend. Everything exceeded our expectations. We stayed in room 36 one of the garden rooms. It was lovely to open the doors and be able to sit outside and hear the birds The room was very spacious and clean. Tea/ coffee making facilities available. We had an evening meal on the first evening and breakfast both days. The food was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. When I was asking the waitress what was in the sauces, she happily went and enquired for me. It was our visit to Thame and the hotel but it definitely wont be our last. We have already recommended them to friends. We are now on our way home feeling very relaxed and refreshed

We were attending a friend's wedding in St Mary's Church and needed a place to stop the night. The Spread Eagle was just perfect. Parking was around the back of the hotel and easy. Hotel was in an excellent location in the middle of Thame and the courtesy of Rich and Julia on reception was fantastic. We were allocated a ground garden room as I explained to Rich that I was a little disabled by an ankle injury and he was more than happy to accommodate us. The room we were in was fabulous, filled with exuberance and boasting a roll top bath that had my name all over it! Ouuu I did enjoy!! Julia explained to me the history of the room we stayed in... wow mad to think there is do much! Loved it...Furthermore, breakfast was super to. Again the hospitality was top notch and when we went around the front to the main georgian building we were met by a lovely young lady that took our order for a cooked breakfast and made me a machiatto to die for! The food was beautifully cooked with quality ingredients...We had the best stay and will definately return... thank you 😊

Lovely night away with dinner, bed and breakfast at the Spread Eagle in Thame. Very pleased with the room, food and the helpful and pleasant staff, especially the lovely chats with Orla who looked after us in the restaurant. 🙂

Staff very friendly and helpful but very disappointed with our stay. The hotel needs refurbishment in our opinion. We changed rooms as no bathroom door on original room.... really! Also, anytime another flushed there was a dreadful noise in the room. We were given a suite. Wow, we thought. At least it had a bathroom door thankfully but wallpaper peeling off and stained carpets not really adding to the wow factor sadly. We ate in restaurant the first night and were offered a complimentary prosecco as it was our anniversary, thank you. Menu very limited for vegetarian so I had a starter as a main. Breakfast was good with a variety of fruit, cereal, toast and cooked breakfast if you wished. Attentive breakfast staff. We went back to restaurant on two other evenings but it was like Marie Celeste... no staff. We waited a while then left and ate elsewhere. Perhaps a bell or some instructions to guests as to what to do if staff not there would help. We booked this hotel as it looked like it had some history. It was our anniversary and we'd never been to Thame. Overall, very disappointed with the hotel. Definitely, the rooms we saw, need refurbishment and put a door on the Hayloft bathroom! Sadly, we left a day early as so disappointed with our experience in the hotel.
