GGuest UserOur stay was such a blast that we decided to come back in the end of our trip. Everything is just perfect, starting from the gorgeous staff to the modern, luxurious rooms and the delicious food. The manager of this amazing place really has a deep understanding of hospitality and comfort. This was the most memorable place we stayed in during our trip, absolutely worth to stay in!

GGuest UserWe booked this 5 star resort and had a 3 star experience.pros and cons. Pros The staff were lovely, Nam and Yada were very friendly and looked after us very well in the Beach Bar restaurant. The A la Carte menu was large and the food was excellent. Smoothies were lovely and the wine was reasonable. In hindsight though I wish we had booked half board or bed and breakfast. Plenty of staff on reception. Great aircon Cons: All inclusive didn’t mean everything was all inclusive. Room service, the Japanese restaurant (the nearest bar to beach) and the drinks sold on the hotel beach were not included. Kids in the gym!!!!! Health and safety issues re the pool Not enough sun beds and no amenities on the lovely beach Limited draw space in the room, poor lighting in bathroom Too many unruly kids in the evening in the restaurant and hotel management invisible. I am still waiting for Tui and Kalima to respond to my complaint ref no 12244212 Tips Just book bed and breakfast, use as a base. Walk 10 minutes to the left down to the beach and spend your money with Farmai and Lanna. Local people with hearts of gold! Only book a week and move to a different location for your second week.

BBSvetThe hotel consists of two buildings. The one closer to the sea is older. The furniture is tired, the room is a bit dark. Across the road - newer. Rooms with access and views of the pool. Everything is fine! Very good breakfasts. The sea is nearby. Several swimming pools. One of the minuses is that very few rooms have stairs to the pool. We did not have. It is inconvenient to get out of the pool, you can slip. The pillows are very high and hard. I never found one that was comfortable for me, although there are four of them. There is very little gel and shampoo in the bath (one small bottle is poured upon request). There is no hair conditioner. One small soap.

GGuest Userwe came here from phi phi to a beach bungalow so i was expecting something very beautiful. we checked in and a buggy took us to our bungalow, however the bungalow was fine on first glances., lovely outdoor shower, it was a big room bed was on like a wooden platform so we found it difficult to get on and off we are both in our 60s. view was lovely over the pool to the sea. the bungalow outside was a bit tired could do with some TLC the grounds to the resort were full of leaves no one seemed to bother cleaning them up. breakfast was just carnage if you wanted noodles etc not a problem but anything remotely English all the hot plates were empty first morning we couldn't even get a table so we abandoned it, second morning we went a bit earlier 8.30 and we did manage to sit down but no hot food so we got toast and boiled egg but these wasn't cooked properly so just left tried to speak to someone about it but not enough staff so didn't bother with breakfast again. there seems to be a few new buildings to this hotel so maybe they have more rooms than there is dining tables. we were only here for 4 nights so it wasn't really an issue for us we just went to one of the beach shacks. outside the hotel was lots of eating and shops very well located so always ate out. around the pool there is a culture where everyone puts towels on beds at 6.30-7 am so by 8 am no beds left this is a pet hate of mine that's why we don't holiday in Europe so i was furious when i saw this. we did end up in a row first morning over the beds but the pool guy sorted it for us. all in all we enjoyed our time in Khaolak but on reflection we would not use this hotel again it just didn't suit us

GGuest UserOur stay at Merlin Khao Lak was pretty great. We had a week there, and sincerely enjoyed the feeling of staying in a contained and nicely taken care of rain forest by the beach. The location was nearly perfect, but the beach itself wasn't very swimmable (beginning of rain season, to be fair). Fortunately, there were other beaches on the same coast that were nicer during the same time of year, so we did get time in the sea water. Even without sea swimming, the ambience from the waves and the sunsets made the beach plenty nice for us at Merlin. There is also a variety of nicepy kept pools to enjoy, though I typically don't enjoy pools personally. Service/food were both nice as well. The staff was pleasant enough, but it did feel weird that an ecologically minded resort had the least meat/dairy alternatives of any of the several resorts/hotels we stayed at. I found ordering curries with no seafood or meat simple though, and they were mostly still good. The massaman curry was a miss, but everything else I tried was quite good for resort food! We really loved the touch of the room's default tv channel being an info channel about the resort's wildlife and maintenance. That, plus the several info booklets allowed us to have a more guided and knowledgeable experience while sightseeing on the exceptional grounds. It was really fun running into others who were also just having a look around and waiting to see a different animal pop up. We enjoyed our stay. Next time we'd likely come back, while also spending some time up the coast a bit.

GGuest UserFirst time to Khao Lak. Only 1 hour car from Phuket Airport. The hotel has private beach, spa & massage , cafe, restaurant and bar. Nice and big public pool (some suite come with private pool). This place not crowded as in Phuket city . Suit for Solo, Family and with buddies . Hotel staff are very friendly and warm to be here. Especially thanks to staff named Kig & Praew ! 👍🏻

LLiliyaWe spent 3 nights here. I really, really liked it. What can I highlight: A great working air conditioner that keeps the temperature and doesn't blow longer than the place, I was with the child, it was important for us. Second: a good working shower with a good heater. Third: mega friendly staff. We were helped to book a tour to Similana; they were taken to the exchange when I realized I had no cash, I didn't expect, but we were also cleaned in the room and left drinking water every morning. Plus the beautiful and cozy area of the hotel and the common zones. I highly recommend this place.
