This place is in the best location with rainforest down to the beach. It is quiet and we often had the beach all to ourselves. Around the corner is a much bigger beach with restaurants and massage etc yet it is still very quiet when compared to Phuket. There is lots of wildlife - frogs, squirrels, lizards, birds, crabs all from your balcony or along the path. The hosts are also amazing being warm, friendly and helpful. We ate in the resultant a few times and they also organised us an overnight tour to the Surin islands. Do not expect new modern luxury here the accommodation is basic and fairly old but the people and the location make up for it and also it is priced to reflect its age. It is not unclean it is just old and it looks like they are slowly updating with modern curtains, bed, toilet, shower head etc.

Nous avions une réservation pour le 28 & 29 janvier 2025 réservation faite 4 mois en avance pour avoir le bungalow qu'on souhaitait, confirmation de l'hôtel tout est ok !!!, le 27 janvier l'hôtel nous écrit pour nous dire qu'il annule notre réservation ( nous sommes a l'enregistrement a Paris) donc nous avons 2 h pour trouver un hôtel sur booking .... Ils nous ont mis dans une situation désagréable ! Surtout qu'en dernière minute il n'y avais plus bcp de choix ni de prix d'ailleurs ( période nouvel an chinois) et cerise sur le gâteau nous recevons un mail via booking que exceptionnellement l'hôtel Poséidon bungalow khaolak ne nous facturait aucun frais !!! ( Non seulement d'annuler notre réservation en dernière minute il ne manquerait plus qu'il nous prennent des frais ) Par contre si vous vous annuler en dernière minute il ne se gênerait pas pour prendre des frais eux !!! Hôtel absolument pas sérieux , qui gère mal leur réservation et pratique le surbooking! Et vous laisse dans la m.... ! Je ne recommande a personne au risque d'avoir la même situation !

I spent 10 days at Poseidon bungalows in December 24. Unfortunately not long after arriving I had a serious fluke accident outside and away from the premises and needed a hospital stay. The owners of Poseidon went above and beyond all expectations to help me. They visited me in the hospital to make sure everything was ok , they drove me to and back from nurse appointments after my release from hospital on several occasions and generally had my well being monitored. I would have been very stuck without their kindness. All of the staff were absolutely incredible. Once I got back to the bungalow they bought my meals to my bungalow 3 times a day and made sure that I was very well taken care of until my departure. They were not obliged to do any of what they done for me but they did not have to be asked they just done everything naturally from the kindness of their hearts. What I did manage to see if the property was so beautiful. Hidden away in serene nature and minutes away from beautiful beaches and restaurants. My bungalow was very clean and well maintained with a very comfortable bed with a great view. The food that they made for me was delicious and some of the best I ate on my trip. I will definitely return again to this beautiful place and recommend to anyone who wants to visit this area of Thailand. I cannot Thankyou enough for your generous support and kindness. I will be back again soon for another visit soon. Thomas

Simple et efficaces, un 7 eleven pas loin. Bon nous ont descendé de Bangkok, ont avais une voiture et ça était un atout. On suis le petit chemin des chambres, ont arrive a une grande plage avec le Lanna, et faite un coucou a Lucile du resto juste avant. Et bruits des vagues et des oiseaux, a ce moment précis ont part juste de Kaolack, ont est a environ 5h de Bangkok et ça me manque déjà. 2 semaines c'est cool, l'année prochaine c'est 3 semaines. Retour en France dans deux jours aye

Wat een warm welkom! De mensen & dieren zijn super vriendelijk. Dachten dat wij in eerste instantie verkeerd reden, omdat het erf waar je op rijdt, niet op een resort lijkt. Bungalows zijn gesitueerd op een mooie locatie. Waarom 3 sterren, heel simpel, het privé strand is niet bijgehouden, ligt vol met afval. Doodzonde! Stroming wad zeer sterk. Wij hadden een sea front bungalow. Met een top uitzicht. Wifi was erg zwak tot geen bereik. Huisje kan een wel een update gebruiken. Verder was het schoon. Zwembad zag er netjes uit. Als je wat vraagt, wordt het meteen voor je gedaan. Wij verbleven er 3 nachten.

Beautiful quiet setting, jungle on a beach, really friendly staff, booking management who went way out of their way to assist (luggage storage, side tours, airport transfers, accommodating us after checkout time), just what we were looking for before and after a liveaboard dive trip out of Thaplamu Pier. A great and very welcoming stay in an off track and quiet heaven. A five min walk to restaurants down the beach if needed. Thoroughly recommend Poseidon....

We stayed at Poseidon Bungalows over xmas and new year and had a very lovely time. The bungalows are in a small jungle at the verge of a private beach and a public beach with free sunbeds and a fine Thai restaurant. The bungalows are very basic and also quite cheap. Owners that have run the place since the eighties are very helpful. The room is cleaned when you ask for it; very sustainable. If you want to get close to nature in a simple, quiet place, then this is as good as it gets in Khao Lak.

An absolute gem. Beautiful huts set literally on top of a beautiful beach. We opted for the basic hut (no aircon) but it had a very strong fan which kept us cool. Beautiful little restaurant with wonderful food and great service. Upon arrival we were too late to eat as the restaurant was closed but they were very kind to cook for us which was very much appreciated. There is a fantastic beach (Paradise Beach) which has a restaurant and bar on it, as well as sun loungers and parasols. It’s set in a cove type setting with another cove immediately next to it with lots more restaurants. Sea was very warm but didn’t see much snorkelling. Overall would have love to have stayed longer here and will definitely be back!
