I had a very disappointing experience at La Quinta in Texas City (2900 gulf) room 228 had a strong mold smell, visible dust, and overall unhealthy conditions. My daughter, who recently recovered from a respiratory illness, was exposed to potential health risks. For the price paid, I expected at least basic cleanliness and comfort, but the hotel failed to deliver.

Needs a renovation. Pool out of order for at least a week. Green water in pool. Many soccer team families complained of moldy smells in their rooms on 3rd floor. 4th floor hallway had big bleach stains on the carpet. Phone did not work in our room. Parking lot does not have EV charging, but that wasn't a promised amenity, just something deficient compared to other hotels in this price range. Hyundai dealer nearby has free fast charger, but only accessible during business hours.

Was all good till Friday night at midnight fire alarms went off had an electrical short in a breaker box on 3rd floor filled with smoke left our rooms got back in room about two hours later, the young man at the front desk done an awesome job getting everybody out. Fire department showed up cleared the building. The strobe lights on the fire alarm system were still flashing hallways and in rooms could not sleep with them. Strobing. management did not come help. I guess they were sleeping too good so we didn’t get no sleep after midnight. Very disappointed in the management .

Comfortable and accommodating rooms. The staff were friendly and the hot breakfast is an added bonus. Easy access to Galveston and Kemah. You can’t beat the price for such lovely accommodations.

One of the Queen bed's mattress was soiled with pee near the pillows. See attached pics. Shower had very little pressure. Not a quality stay!

The service is HORRIBLE. We were needing to check in an hour and a half early and the rooms were ready but they were going to charge us 35.00 early check in and the girl at the counter was extremely rude. Not to mention we were the ONLY customers in the lobby. Unacceptable customer service! Do better Laquinta! Lost 4 customers not that you really care but it is what it is!

They charge my card before I ck in an the room was not clean an smell like mold an floor not vacuum an a/c could not adjust the room that i paid for should have been clean an smell fresh but it just wasn't done
