Home2 Suites Texas City hotel and staff are amazing, I had a large room with kitchenette for my business trip and it was perfect. Very clean and modern place. Fitness center and guest laundry is a must for me and theirs is great. I love Home2 Suites!

The room was very large - room for two beds and a couch but ours had a king bed and couch only. The room was nicely furnished with a kitchen area (apartment size refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, sink, dishes, desk area, shelving) but that's where the niceness stopped. Design team needs to go back to the drawing board. Housekeeping needs to be retrained on the meaning of clean. The bathroom was small - so small that the door could not open fully because it hit the sink countertop. They could have made the bathroom larger and the sleeping area smaller and still had plenty of room. Two people cannot fix their hair at the same time in this bathroom. But the most obnoxious thing about this room was the lack of "clean" in it. (See pics.) The shower was a decent size but there was a stain (rust?) from one corner into the center. The metal tracks that hold the shower doors were disgusting. The corners on both sides had black mildew and rust on them. I took a piece of tissue and wiped it to see if it was just discoloration or if it would come off - some of it came right off without any effort. If housekeeping doesn't have time to actually CLEAN the bathroom they need to pull the room out of the lineup for the day and dedicate more time to it when they finish all the other rooms. This bathroom needed some Lysol, bleach and a scrub brush together with about 30 minutes and a housekeeper dedicated to doing a good job. Besides the bathroom, you would like to feel that the bed was made and that there are standards as to how it should look when you walk it. The "dust ruffle" should cover the box springs/mattress. There was elastic along the bottom to assure that happened but the mattress showed below that and it wasn't straight. Again, I know that housekeeping has much to accomplish in a short amount of time but in a hotel with the Hilton brand on it you expect uniformity in design and appearance from room to room. Another note - there were only two bath towels in this room that could sleep 4 using the couch bed. A call to the front desk for more got a response of "I've got a line of people checking in and I'll have to check with housekeeping." One person alone on the front desk at peak check-in time is unacceptable and there was no direct line to housekeeping. I might mention that using the Hilton app allowed us to check in before we arrived, pick our room and go straight to it when we arrived using the digital key in the app. Very thankful for that as the line definitely was long. This hotel needs some staff training. I would not advise anyone to stay here until CLEAN becomes their new tag line.

Wife and I came here June 21st and stayed over a week. The employees here are very friendly. We are brand new residents of Galveston Texas as we are relocating from Corpus Christi. My favorite employee is Adrian Allen who makes the best blueberry muffins we’ve ever eaten. Got to meet Cody, Alexis, Donna, Veronica, Breanna. Also Aj part of I’m guessing housekeeping and cleanup crew. Everyone is wonderful here. We are originally from Oahu, Hawaii and recently two yrs relocated back to Texas. Decided to move to Galveston. All the employees here made us. Feel so welcome. The rooms are clean and very spacious. So glad we came here. I would recommend to anyone traveling thru this area to stay here. They make you feel like family here. In Hawaii we say Ohana. We will truly miss this place when we are fully moved into our apartment in Galveston.

There is no cell phone reception in this hotel. You don't find it out until you get to your room and can't send or receive calls. If cell phone usage is important on your trip, don't stay here. Other than that, it is very nice. Staff is friendly and accomodating.

This is a great hotel if you are looking to go to Galveston but want to save some money by staying off the island. My husband and I have stayed here multiple times and have had no problems. It's not super fancy obviously and can be a little tricky to get back to with the construction on 45, but overall a great option. We've never had any problems with construction noise. Likewise it's great if you are going to be cruising out of Galveston but need a place for a night. There is a Starbucks very close, and restaurant options nearby. Also not super far from NASA/Space Museum if you're looking to do a combo of the gulf and NASA.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming Cody, Adrian, Alexis, Salina, Veronica, and Omar all did a great job. The breakfast was great with lots of variety with hot breakfast bowls and sandwiches. Really enjoyed our stay and will stay again if we ever go to Texas City. The only issue we had is with the location. It is on a one way street near the highway that has a lot of construction which makes it a little tricky to get in and out of.

Stay somewhere else! We stayed 2 nights, March 12th & 13th, 2024. Check in was easy, we checked in via the Hilton app (we are diamond members). Went down later to get a snack and the front desk person was sitting at one of the tables and couldn’t be bothered to get up and note down my room number for billing, just hollered to me. That’s on her. The next morning we called down to request our room be serviced. Nope, they can’t do that. They don’t have enough service people. Ok. We went down and asked for fresh towels so we would have clean towels for the next day. Nope, they would have some later when they gathered all the dirty towels and washed them. Ok. So we stopped when we got back…No one at desk, sign saying they’d be right back. I waited over 5 mins, no person so we went up to our room and went back down later…...oh, now they only have 2 towels because they gave all the other ones away. And it kicked hubs off Wi-Fi Everytime he stopped using it. Had to re-log in every time. It gets very old at the constant lack of service. I’m sick of paying the same daily rate and only getting fresh towels / trash emptied / bed made on the day of check in. If you are not going to service the room, charge significantly less because you are spending less on labor.

I booked 2 connecting room back in December. In February Alexis, the GM, called me and said the rooms I had booked which was 2 queen beds with connecting rooms wasn’t available. She said she could put me in 1 king rooms that were connecting. On Friday I was going to go in and choose my rooms. There were no connecting rooms. I called hotel and was told no they couldn’t put us in connecting rooms. The person I talked to on Friday told me that just because I had booked connecting rooms didn’t mean they would honor that. My question is why did the GM just tell me that. I’m traveling with my daughter and family which would have been nice to have had connecting rooms. I looked on the Hilton website and reading it I should have gotten connecting rooms. So just a heads up, you might not get that connecting rooms.

Don’t stay here. What looks like a nice place has not been taken care of. The sheets and comforters have holes and stains. The A/C squeals like a pig. The lights don’t work in the rooms. The girl that works here is the GREATEST but she is working with trash.
