Bell Hotel by Greene King Inns

Loved staying at the Bell. Right opposite Tewkesbury Abbey, you couldn’t ask for a better location. Free parking is a real bonus here too and the location is close to the Severn Way walk, for walks down to Deerhurst and beyond. Friendly , engaging , genuine, and sometimes fun, service and attention from all the staff made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was so worth the price, and huge portions too! We also stayed for dinner one night ( had a great Indian at the Raj the second night) and were so nicely surprised. Being a ‘pub chain’ hotel you sometimes think the food might be quite bland and corporate but the chefs here know what they are doing. So happy with the food. One or two minor grumbles might be the traffic noise, as our room was on the road ( so wore earplugs and fine) and the very soft bed, but meh, it was fine really. We would more than likely stay again if passing through this way in the future.

As exspected a very traditional historical inn in a quinticential idillic town. Close to the centre and the abbey and museums , the river and pubs and amenities.

Cleaning could be a little better in the rooms and along with the general bathroom cleaning you would think would happen..

Excellent one night stay at Bell Hotel . Drew on arrival was friendly and helpful . Jay on check out and Jasmin on breakfast were both lovely and helpful too . We ate in the hotel for dinner and food was excellent . Breakfast had a great choice . Very enjoyable stay in a great area to explore . Thankyou
