Travelodge Tewkesbury

This was a pretty typical Travelodge. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy and there was ample car parking (free). Not the most salubrious area, tucked at the back of an industrial estate and very close to the M5 so noise might be an issue for some. The hotel was quiet inside though. The heat was definitely an issue. The room was stifling and although Travelodge supply a fan and I'd taken one of my own it still wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep. My room only had a shower, but it worked well and was large. The hotel felt a bit 'tired' but was adequate and priced reasonably. The outside area really needs something done about cigarette butts. I appreciate that they have to have a smoking area but the butts seemed to be all round and on one side I've never seen so many in one place! I dread to think the last time somebody made an effort to tidy up. I'd taken one of my dogs with me but there is nowhere within sensible walking distance to take them out. We just had to walk round the industrial estate for her early morning and late night wee. If you're happy to drive though, there's a nature reserve 5 minutes away in a vehicle. The restaurant is limited and you can only have exactly what's on the menu as it's obviously prepacked and heated up. Overall I was happy with my two nights and will probably stay there again when I'm in the area in a couple of week's time. If you want luxury then be prepared to pay luxury prices, if you just want somewhere as a base then this is fine.

Staff went above and beyond! Kind friendly and approachable. Room is a great size, clean and great sleep. Big up to the team and travelodge!

Staff are amazing. Really accommodating. From Becky the manager, to the reception staff, to the house cleaners. All fantastic.
