Popular Tewkesbury District 4-star Hotels

We've just returned from a very enjoyable 4 night stay at the Hilton Puckrup Hall, Tewkesbury. Our stay was made very enjoyable and comfortable by the staff. A big thanks to Tchin and Zara at reception, always welcoming and helpful also to Elias and Molly at the restaurant in the evening. Great service. Just a short drive into Tewksbury historic town, the hotel has a golf course, spa, gym and pool with jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms which we used often, and is set in gorgeous leafy green grounds, surrounded by the golf course and countryside. Breakfast was great with lots of choice, and breakfast staff were very helpful. We enjoyed delicious food for dinner at the restaurant that has a lovely, cosy ambience. The location of the hotel is great, easy access to the gorgeous Cotswolds, Wales and the Mavern Hills. But again, it really was the staff that made it, very welcoming, helpful and professional. Make sure you go into the historic Georgian, Puckrup Hall Manor House part of the hotel, a grade II listed building, connected to the reception area, a glass walkway that takes you through to a pretty glass garden room and lounge. Its beautiful, we enjoyed our morning coffee there. We will definitely be back. Management clearly run a tight ship, with a strong focus on professionalism and great hospitality. Just got back from an overnighter here and we had a great time. The reception area is very modern, clean and stylish. Our room was also smart and spotless. Maybe the bathroom could use an update but it was fine really. We used the leisure club steam room, pool and outdoor jacuzzi. That was all very nice. On the way back to our rooms we stopped at the bar near to reception where the bartender made my wife a fantastic Espresso Martini. I’m sorry I don’t remember your name - female, blonde, much younger than us and very friendly. Later, we dined in the restaurant. Delicious starters to share (perfectly cooked scallops) then fantastic steak for me and lovely spiced hake for my wife. Also the wine was pretty good and I liked the touch of telling me the next bottle of Malbec was a bit too cold and offering me the chance to pick a glass of something else while I waited. All in all we highly recommend this hotel and it must be said, it is made this good by the staff, who were friendly and faultless. They all do the place proud. Thank you.
