Eco Village Baia Delle Ginestre

I visited this restaurant in the evening with another family. From the very beginning, we were scolded by the staff for not ordering quickly, even though our dinner reservation was for 9:00 PM. I ordered spaghetti and kids’ burgers for the children, and grilled beef ribs for myself. The spaghetti was acceptable, but the kids’ burgers were very disappointing. One plate had only a small patty and a single leaf of lettuce—literally just one. The second burger came with a tiny bit of grated carrot and again just one leaf of lettuce. It was far below expectations. The grilled beef ribs were a complete disaster. I received one small piece of meat with a bone, mostly fat, and full of sinew. It was impossible to cut, let alone chew. By far the worst dish I’ve ever been served. It came with nothing but a single lettuce leaf. The waitress didn’t offer anything to go with the meal—not even a side. At the end, I ordered one salad to go for my wife. They brought it on a plate. When I pointed it out, the waitress apologized, took the plate, and returned with the same salad awkwardly stuffed into a tiny container that couldn’t even hold it properly. Overall, this was a terrible experience. I do not recommend this place.

Magnificent surroundings. We enjoyed walking around and exploring the whole complex. It has a wonderful view and clear rocky beaches. We enjoyed morning breakfast and evening dinners. We had a lovely time.

Are you looking for a spotless structure with the latest furniture an amenities a Michelin starred restaurant and a buzzing cocktail bar? this resort is not for you, or at least not yet! The property has been let down for a while from the previous owners and is now just been taken over. They are working hard and I have trust they will bring it back to ancient splendor. Still.. are you looking for good value for money, a stunning and incredibly quiet location just a stroll away from the busy and beautiful beaches of Chia, three private beaches and for private I mean being alone on the beach! a huge swimming pool where to relax, huge rooms with a stunning sea view balcony where to sip the first coffee of the day, an unpretentious cheap restaurant serving amazing simple Italian food and in huge portions, impeccable and genuine service, all of it nestled in beautiful green Mediterranean vegetation just one hour drive away from Cagliari, main Sardinian city and airport? THIS IS DEFINITELY WHERE YOU WANT TO BE! I would like to extend a special mention to Alberto, Irina, Bashir and the young kids working in the restaurant (Sorry guys I do not remember your names but you know who you are!) for the swift, friendly and attentive service (Trust me in Sardinian High Season is a rarity!) and I would also like to thank Anna and Matteo, part of the new ownership for being so nice and available in meeting me immediately as soon as I expressed Alberto my interest in having a chat about the new project, I sincerely trust you'll do an amazing job. Excellent lunch and above all perfect service and friendly atmosphere thanks to Santino and Bachir who took great care of us. We had a wonderful time there and will go back one evening to enjoy the stunning view and the sunset over the sea. Place highly recommended!
