Recommended Beautiful old building. Food and drink was top notch. Room was spacious and the bathroom though quite small, was well appointed. No issues with external noise despite being so close to the A303 dual carriageway. The surrounding area is beautiful.

Great find! Would stay again Staff were absolutely fantastic - friendly & helpful. Room was lovely. Outside of the control of the hotel, but a nearby business had a lorry working early in the morning (4am ish) that had an alarm on it that woke us up.

We enjoyed a lovely 2 night break here, whilst attending a friends wedding at the nearby hawk conservancy. The room was absolute immaculate- much much nicer than the photos suggest and equipped with everything you could need, including a fab high pressured shower and cosy seating area. The thing that really stands out are the staff - they are absolute gems! Corey, the general manager, was such a lovely, kind soul who drove us to the wedding do in the evening when we were worried about local taxis and went out of his way to meet all our needs. The guy never stopped working, even on his time off he could be found somewhere in the pub making sure everything was ship shape! He's an absolute credit to the pub - keep hold of him owner, you've got a good un there! Beautiful grounds surround the pub and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The cleaner of our room even went out of her way to tidy away our belongings - never had that sort of personal service before! The meal was beautiful too and the waiting staff were so polite and chatty and did everything possible to get us a table when all were reserved. Possibly the best place we've stayed in in the UK. Theyve got the formula just right, and this comes down to the right type of management i believe. If we're back in andover, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thank you all so much !!!
