I chose this hotel because, firstly, it has a single price and is friendly to solo travelers. Secondly, the hotel only has 60 rooms, which is more to my liking than a big hotel. Thirdly, it can enrich Ctrip’s reviews. Before placing the order, there was only one. After staying in most Japanese hotels, I feel that the money is worth the money spent, and this one is no exception. The connection is very convenient. You can walk from the Internet to Kawayu Onsen, get off the bus and take the bus to the end, where you will see the word ”Honeysuckle”. The public area is better than the room. The room is very ordinary. It just raises the tatami to become a bed. There is not even a bedside table. The description of the toilet is actually spelled wrong, which breaks the stereotype that Japanese people pay great attention to details. The shrimp sashimi at the buffet is of extremely high quality, sweet and glutinous, and can be eaten for breakfast and dinner. It’s delicious. If you are traveling alone, like sashimi, seafood, and have enough time, you can go there and you won’t regret it.

My 2-day stay at Kawayu Kanko hotel was very pleasant. While the rooms may look tired, they are spacious and functional (I could do my taiqi exercise in my room!). 3 things I like most about the stay: the staff I interacted with, the onsen and the dinner. Ms Yuka at the front desk spoke perfect English and she gave me the most useful ideas about where to eat and where to go. Thanks to her, I got to learn about the Teshikaga Eco-Passport and got to visit Lake Kussharo (Sunayu area), Lake Mashu and Mt Io by bus, all in one day. Her boss, Mr Nakajima was a very friendly gentleman. Language did not deter him as he patiently gave me a lesson (using his phone translator) about the geographics and the creation of the Kawayu Onsen area. Secondly, the onsen was great. The temperature was just right for me and the mineral refreshed my body instantly. I was told the hot spring water in the hotel came directly from a source that is only a few kilometers away. Lastly, the kaiseki dinner was great. The spread was generous. On a freezing winter day, the 2 personal hotpots greatly filled up and warmed my body. I will definitely return to the hotel.

The hotel is very close to JR Station of Chuantang Hot Springs. It takes about 10 minutes to walk. The front desk service is very good and there is no problem in English communication. At the time of check-in, the hot spring tax is charged per person, 150 yen per person. Booked in a Japanese-style triple room, the room is very warm, the breakfast is good, typical Japanese cuisine, although the taste is not used, but full. The hotel's hot springs are very comfortable, there are not many pools, one indoors, one outdoor, and no other outdoor pools. If you do not consider the traffic, it is recommended to go to the Sulphur Mountain direction, the choice will be more, all the way to the hot spring inn, all natural hot springs. The hotel also provides free help to host a trip, which is very convenient.
