Our hosts were super attentive and hospitable. Gave us recommendations on things to do for our ongoing trip. The food was very tasty and we ate way too much. The cats Kiki and Kuma were good fun and friendly. It was a pity we could not see the stars as the sky was cloudy. Next time perhaps!

We had a wonderful stay at Pension Polaris, where the warm hospitality truly stood out. The crew was welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was thoughtfully prepared and delectable. The place was spotlessly clean. We were well taken care of. Thank you Pension Polaris for providing us a comfortable and enjoyable experience!

It’s an amazing and unforgettable experience staying in Pension Polaris. The owner is very meticulous and everything was well prepared. He showed us the full moon and starry night outside with his telescope, it was very impressive. The stay at Pension Polaris was highly recommended!

We (four people) visited Pension Polaris on 7 February 2024. This was the second time we resided in this place, and last time was in February 2020. Both Ichiro BABA and Ayana were very friendly and provided excellent service to us, including preparation of delicious food in both dinner and breakfast. If you like cats, I strongly recommend that you visit this place because Kuma and Kiki (two cats) are very cute and friendly. The environment of this pension is excellent, and you can see a lot of birds there and sometimes fox also. The location of the pension is also good if you want to see swan in 砂湯 and crane in 釧路. Overall, the experience of visiting place is nice, and I am sure that I will be going there for the third time in the near future.

The rooms were very clean and spacious, with a big window overlooking spacious field. We stayed in a room with 2 adults and 2 kids (2&6 years old) and had enough space to relax. You can observe birds and animals with binoculars equipped in each room. They also showed us the moon and stars using big telescope, a wonderful experience. There were also two nice cats and a library, that entertained our kids very well. They serve carefully prepared homemade food, using local ingredients, which was delicious. The service was also amazing, with careful consideration for our needs. They also provided lots of activities regarding activities around. My 6yo loved the stay there and already asking us to go back. Wonderful hidden gem, totally recommended.

摩周湖少し手前の立地で、羽田から釧路空港に到着して、丹頂鶴、釧路湿原、霧多布岬を見てちょうどの距離感でした。オーナー夫妻が優しく出迎えて下さり、自然のインテリアの中でお夕食も朝食もいただき、美味しかったです。夜は星空も観ることができ、北斗七星とお写真も撮ったいただけました。川湯温泉の券のついたプランを申し込んだので翌朝、入りに行きました。お相撲ファンなので近くの大鵬博物館も楽しみました。その後硫黄山、摩周湖と回りました。予約してからオーナーより旅のアドバイスも頂戴して、訪問地も増えました。とてもオススメです。

11/6から2泊の滞在でした。 シーズンオフということもあってか他のお客さんはいなくて、ほぼ貸し切り状態(^-^; オーナー夫妻がとてもフレンドリーで、 旅のコンシェルジュもしていただきました(*^^*) 看板ネコ２匹(キキ＆クマちゃん)たちもとても可愛く癒されます～ ネコ好きにはたまらないお宿だとおもいます🐈 朝はダイニングから餌をついばむバードウォッチングができます🐦 お食事もボリューミーで、美味しく楽しめました(^－^) そして、なんと言っても、満点の星空を見ることができました(感動～！)、 旦那さまが撮影のアドバイス＆星空講座をしてくださいました。 ペンションの周りには、広大な牧草が広がり、日の出もみることができます お部屋も窓が大きく、もー、ずっと、ぼーっとして、この景色を見ていたい～ 特に、都会の喧騒に疲れた方にはもってこい！ そんなお宿です。また季節を変えて訪れたい～と思いました。
