We booked a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom and it was very spacious and in a beautiful location in Tuscany. Vineyards all around. This resort was a great location from historic Florence city center, about a 40 minute drive! And very convenient to visit some of the surrounding areas such as Peccioli, Livorno and Pisa. I highly recommend having a car so you can get around easily! Loved the place! We will be back!

A beautiful tucked away location in Tuscany. The scenery is beautiful and if it happens to be sunny while you’re here, it’s great. The rooms have no soundproofing in the ceiling and we had a lot of trouble with guest above us. Talking loudly till the wee hours of the morning. Unfortunately, there is no restaurant or even a little continental breakfast area. So plan to stay here and then venture out to various other villages and cities in the area.

Wonderful people running a picturesque facility. Very accommodating with excellent recommendations for dinner (Osteria del Sole) and winery (Podere La Chiesa & Fattoria Fibbiano). I would recommend taking the train to Pontedera - Casciana Terme and then arrange transportation from there (19 km)

This was our first visit to HGVC in Italy and must say we were extremely pleased with everything about our visit. It is very important to read up on the property and the area prior to your visit. I noticed many reviews stating they were shocked to learn there was no on - site restaurant and where this property was in relation to major cities. We have traveled all over Europe and always have a car so we are used to this. However, if you are not used to driving while on vacation just note this property is in the countryside and you really do need a car ( or hire a driver for the length of your stay) for everything. One comment about cars - please choose your rental wisely. While parking at the HGVC is plentiful and condusive to all makes and models the rest of Tuscany really is not. Parking spaces are small and roads are narrow so it can be a little tricky for those not used to European driving. We find the wagon type vehicles to work the best - plenty of space for four adults, large trunk for four suitcases yet small enough we could park even in the tiniest of villages. Regarding the property itself - if you need a first floor unit or first floor bedroom please ask for this well ahead of your stay. Some of the units are only accessible by stairs and some of the ground level buildings have second floor bedrooms. We had my 85 year old mother with us and stairs is not an option for her. The staff was so helpful and made sure we had a ground floor building with a first floor bedroom. Also note, there are stairs to and from the pool. Honestly, there are stairs and hills and very few elevators all over this country so just be prepared :) We loved this location since it is centrally located with an easy drive to Pisa, Florence, Siena and all the other smaller villages in-between. We used Borgo Alle Vigne as our "home base" and really only slept here since we were up and out by 9am and didn't return until after dinner. Our visit was during the off season so the pool wasn't an option for us. The front desk attendants were EXTREMELY helpful and kind. They had excellent destination recommendations, made local restaurant reservations for us and helped with translation as needed. Note, many of the restaurants do not open for dinner until 7:30pm. For those who plan to get out and explore, I highly recommend making your reservations well in advance for things like the Academia in Florence, food tours, bike tours, winery tours, etc..... even in the off season these book up. Local dinner reservations can be made up on arrival with the help of the front desk. So many good options, many within 10-15 minute drive! There are a few local grocery stores for basic essentials and a lovely coffee shop called Jole just a few minutes away by car. Please note that many of the local resturants have only a few English speaking employees so please be patient - although some of our most favorite experiences were the things lost in translatio

Came here off season to get a taste of Tuscany without all the hustle and bustle. All of the staff are fantastic and speak good English. Plenty of parking and off the main road so nice and quiet. Situated on the side of a hill so not very accessible for those that have trouble walking. Easy drive to the grocery store. Centrally located. 40 min drive to Pisa. About an hour to Florence. Make sure to go to Osteria del Sole for a florentine steak. Vist Lari for a tour of a pasta factory in the castle. Two we have visited are Castleveccio in Tericcola and Fattoria Fibbiano. Both are good choices. Jole is a small coffee shop in La Rosa that has wonderfully good pastries.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chianti 25, a 3-bedroom villa at HGV’s Borgo alle Vigne. We received a very friendly and kind welcome when we arrived and were instantly impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of the property. The check-in process went smoothly, we were given information about the local area, then accompanied to our villa. The 3 spacious bedrooms all had en-suite bathrooms which were decorated beautifully and provided sufficient storage space for our clothes and luggage. The living and dining rooms were also very well appointed and comfortable for our group of 6 adults. Though those spaces were not large, we were all able to sit comfortably and enjoy breakfast in the mornings and wine and movies at night. One of my favourite things to do while there was watching the sunrise every morning while relaxing under the Tuscan sun and reading my book, before preparing for a day of exploration. The kitchen, though small, was quite adequate and functional. There was a minor issue with the refrigerator which was quickly resolved after contacting the Front Desk. The view every morning and every evening was nothing short of fantastic! I definitely recommend this property for couples and adult groups. Not so much for young children. You will surely need a vehicle in this area of Tuscany, but don’t worry, there are ample parking spots in the covered parking garage and also a few outside. Thank you all to the lovely staff at Borgo alle Vigne for a wonderful, enjoyable, and memorable stay. Thanks also for the complimentary bottle of delicious champagne celebrating the property’s 10th anniversary. Looking forward to a return visit.

This resort is awesome. It’s centrally located in Tuscany so you can use it as home base and make day trips to Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Cinque Terre, San Gimignano, Montepulciano and more. The villas have everything you need. There are two wineries very close to the resort. We would go out to explore for the day and eat a big meal while out. Then we would stop at one of her local grocery stores to get soup or salad and a bottle of wine. Then we’d head back to the resort and have dinner on the patio while watching the sunset. Amazing!

Only just arrived but so impressed with the accommodation! Light, bright, clean and modern! Very nice welcome and a bottle of wine! The views are beautiful and we’re looking forward to seeing the pool. Seems to have everything we need in the kitchen. Looks like the start of a very good vacation.

We've been coming here for several years as it's a lovely location for exploring the neighbourhood. Usually it's peaceful and relaxing but it wasn't this year. For some reason it was full of loud mouthed disruptive people! We couldn't wait to leave!!!
