SpringHill Suites Terre Haute

Service was friendly & great. The building needs attention, especially the carpet. The room smells musty when we arrived. Breakfast was quite good with a broad selection.

Ladies at the front desk were very friendly and found us the right room. Room was spacious and quiet. Restaurants nearby, convenient to the highway. Lots of hot water. Comfy bed and pillows, didn't reek of bleach like some other hotels do. Would stay again.

Our first floor room was in bad need of an update or at least a refresh. The room reeked strongly of freshening chemicals, and the carpeting in the room and hallway had many noticeable stains. They did have USB charging ports in the bedside lamp which was nice but we would cannot recommend this hotel.

After stopping for a quick overnight break in Terre Haute midway on a long trip, I was not anticipating having an outstanding service experience. Charli, who was working the desk as a full night of guests checked out, also managed to wipe tables, greet breakfast diners, clear dishes and generally set a welcoming tone in the lobby. Additionally, we asked a somewhat obscure question on the way out and as we were walking to our car, she came outside to tell us what she had found on a websearch after we left. Great job, Charli! Excellent hospitality!

Stopped here on the way home and spent the night to avoid the storms. It’s nice and clean but it’s the old style of hotel when compared to other Springhill hotels we’ve stayed at. The beds were too soft and the microwave is as cheap as they come. It was nice and quiet and we got a decent nights sleep.

Standard Marriott business hotel. Good location near the junction of I70 and US 41S. Tucked away behind Holiday Inn. Lots of restaurants and shopping close. Problem in that during my three night stay there was no housekeeping service, although posted that service would be given every other day. When I requested service at the end of the second day, I was told that housekeeping staff had left for the day and he was the only one on duty. As lifetime platinum I expect better from Marriott Bonvoy.

I was disappointed in my 2 night stay here for the RAIN. A few things went wrong. The key to the room kept losing its magnetic code and I had to get new keys each day (they said it was a known problem). The HVAC unit made alot of noise and I was disappointed that they did not clean the room daily (and did not know I had to request it). Sometimes it was also hard to find the front desk person, since they had a tendency to wander around.

I wanted to give acknowledgement and accolades for the exceptional managerial and customer service that Dee, Manager On Duty provided during my hotel stay. Dee demonstrated leadership and teamwork in addressing my requests, service, and accommodations to make my stay outstanding. The teamwork with Jen (Jennifer) at the front desk an Evie, Assistant Manager of Housekeeping exceeded expectations. All were very professional, personable, attentive, and caring in assuring the best customer service was provided throughout my hotel stay, from checking-in to checking-out. As a frequent traveler, I was impressed with the staff (team) work ethics and friendly disposition. From my experience and observations as a guest, Dee as the hotel manager had an engaging way of being that truly appeared to show a high level of trust with Jen and Evie, as a team to represent Marriott organization extremely well with a level of commitment to maintain a well maintained hotel and services befitting an outstanding and customer focused hotel management team. All made my stay a pleasurable one, and I look forward to staying there again, and I will recommend the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Terre Haute, Indiana to relatives, friends, and business associates. My husband and I stay every August for a week. He is here for work and I am here to relax. I just wanted to give a special thank you to Dee at the front desk!! The personal attention and helpfulness was above and beyond exceptional! Thank you sooo much Dee for all your help! A shout out to Evie who runs housekeeping and takes pride in her job! Our room was spotless and the overall cleanliness of the entire hotel was impressive! I hope that Marriott takes time to appreciate these two team members! Thank again!
