This was the best breakfast I've had at a Best Western - besides all the expected hot and cold selections, including French toast, there was a station for custom made omelets. Another bonus was the use of real dishes and cutlery. No paper plates or disposable cutlery here! The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. This was more in an industrial area, however, there were some food and a beverage options (which we didn't visit) within walking distance.

We had an unexpected 3-night stay in Terrace due to car trouble but our experience at the Best Western was great. They accommodated us with an early check-in and a bagged breakfast for our very early departure. The property is older and a bit worn looking but rooms very clean and beds, linens, bathrooms all very good. The breakfast was excellent with a make-to-order omelette bar.

The rooms were tired, and basic upkeep such as cleaning stained sheer curtains and repairing peeling paint and ceiling in the bathroom impacted the quality of our stay. Linens on the bed had a musty smell. Though rates are reasonable, the hotel needs a facelift. Ironically a damage deposit is collected for a room showing inadequate maintenance with the deposit only released “after housekeeping has assessed”. Had we known this we would have taken before and after photos to show the room condition before we checked out - while we left the room as clean as possible, the cleanliness of the room was impacted by lack of maintenance. The staff on the other hand were generally very helpful and friendly. Walking distance to the amazing Indian restaurant Ranu which was recommended by the front desk clerk was another benefit. Overall the Best Western in Terrace isn’t on our list for a return visit.
