Na een goede ervaring begin dit jaar weer eens lunchen bij dit restaurant. Drie kwartier van te voren gebeld en ja er was ruimte om 12:00uur. We waren er vijf voor twaalf en na het drankje en opnemen van de bestelling was het ruim een uur wachten voordat we konden eten. We hoorden veel onderling geruzie tussen personeel. Na informeren waar onze lunch bleef, de opmerking dat er een grote groep was. een ander stel bij de keuken kreeg als antwoord dat hij niet alles tegelijk kon. Dat stel werd eerder bediend en na een opmerking daarover hoorden we de kok zeggen; zeg maar dat de soep eerder klaar was. Nu wisten we dus dat ze soep hadden. Mijn vrouw had een salade met walnoten. Die walnoten waren vervangen door hazelnoten zonder enige berichtgeving. Misschien 20minuten later, toen we wilden afrekenen zat het personeel al in de zaal te eten. Hadden ze denk ik beter wat uit het zicht kunnen doen. Misschien had een iets creatievere planning veel ongerief kunnen voorkomen. In elk geval was de communicatie op alle vlak slecht. Wij hadden hierdoor geen gezellige lunch. Dit was de laatste keer bij dit restaurant.

Voor bijna €200 voor 1 overnachting hadden we een andere verwachting van ons verblijf. De hotelkamer was niet schoon (vieze wastafel, gordijnen aan de onderkant waren erg vies en de kamer was in zijn geheel oud en slecht onderhouden, het gehele hotel was overigens niet netjes. Wij sliepen op een gang waar in 2 andere kamers honden aanwezig waren. Deze honden blaften veel waardoor we in de avond en nacht last hadden van het blaffen. Prima dat een hotel honden toelaat maar zorg er dan wel voor dat andere gasten daar geen last van hebben. Het personeel bij het ontbijt was onvriendelijk en ongemanierd. Over gasten praten tegen je manager terwijl de gasten binnen gehoorsafstand staan is wat mij betreft een slechte zaak. Jammer ook dat toen wij deze feedback aangaven bij de receptie, wij alleen maar te horen kregen dat het doorgegeven zou worden aan het management. De mevrouw in kwestie wist ook nog te vertellen dat het geluid van blaffende honden helaas een overmacht situatie betreft. Met andere woorden, daar kon het hotel toch echt niets aan doen. Kortom, wij zouden dit hotel nooit aan andere aanraden! Schandalig zoveel geld betalen en er zo weinig voor terug krijgen.

Stayed 2 nights in a practically furnished room, good bed, coffee facilities etc. Only the lighting could be better (was also the case in Nautisch Kwartier, so probably deliberately). Ate in the restaurant, very well cared for, nice presentations and reasonably priced.
