This is a lovely traditional English pub with accommodation the staff are friendly and welcoming the food was very good and the breakfast in the morning was excellent

The bed was comfy the room and bathroom were clean, as was the rest of the property. Food was good and staff were friendly. Great place to base yourself on to visit surrounding areas. We visited Bodium Castle, Rye and stopped at Bedgebury National Forest on the way. Tenterden is a great little town and has some interesting shops. My only comment I would make is the windows don't go up high enough and there is no means to hold the sash window up.

Wonderful stay at The White Lion. we was upgraded by the lovely lady on reception as it was our anniversary, there was even a card in our room. All the staff were very helpful and the pub had a great vibe. The breakfast was perfect with a large selection and once again a very attentive staff member

Amazing hotel .. we all loved it .. we had the 3 courtyard rooms . The rooms were spotless and had all the facilities we needed including lovely toiletries . Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A big Thankyou from rooms 8/9/10 and hope to visit again soon…you all made our weekend special x

Lovely pub in a lovely town. Never been to Tenterden before but will go again! The room was clean and spacious, the bed very comfortable. Bathroom was good with an over-bath shower and plenty of hot water at good pressure. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the service from the staff was exemplary. Very minor niggle was the absence of a proper electrical socket on my side of the bed. I use a CPAP machine but luckily I was able to plug it in on the other side of the room. Please get rid of the silly, outdated round pin sockets!

Attic room hot, even with fan provided. Service at breakfast quite slow. Bulb had failed in main bedroom ceiling light and no working extractor fan in the bathroom. But fair value and well situated .

What can I say…. The very best full English breakfast you will ever have. Lovely room, very comfy bed, very well furnished and equipped. staff all very friendly and helpful. Check in very easy online, with secure on-site parking. Big Shout out to Beverley. We left a couple of items in room which Beverley arranged to be posted back to us. Will def stay again. Marvellous location, just a lovely stay all round. THANK YOU TO ALL AT THE WHITE LION 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour (une nuit) au White Lion. La chambre (twin room) et la salle de bain étaient spacieuses, les lits confortables, le décor soigné. Personnel agréable. Pub très cosy et bon souper. On retournera sans hésiter.
