We spent 3 nights at Penally Abbey our room was very comfortable with a huge bed and fluffy pillows. It had a coffee machine as well as a kettle. We cannot speak too highly of the staff who went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. We ate in the hotels Rhosyn Restaurant on two evenings. The food from a small but varied menu was excellent. The venison was excellent as was the cured salmon and cod cheeks. The cheese course was original and out of this world being a mille feuille of creamed and cubed local (Hafod) cheese with a green apple sorbet. Although we were there in January the hotel was still busy. We will definitely be back.

Wow! Amazing from start to finish. The room, the service, and the food was excellent. Harry and all the staff couldn’t do enough for us. A stunning location with Tenby a short walk away over South Beach. Would definitely recommend and we will be back soon.

We had a truly wonderful time here for 2 nights and can't wait to come back. The service was exceptional and everything we ate was lovely. Very short walk from the train station. The seaside path is also very close by and we had a nice walk into Tenby. Perfect little getaway!

Beautiful location and also lovely internal decor. Disappointing afternoon tea for the cost of £32, plus trying to charge another £4 service charge. I was part of a large group, however the afternoon tea for vegetarians was just put in middle of table, without a thought to where people were sitting. Some of the bread for the sandwiches was dry and that was it for savoury part of tea. I have had much better afternoon teas elsewhere for half the price. Staff could have been more attentive as had to go and request refills for tea. I did have a lovely afternoon however with the group of people I was with. However I Would not return for afternoon tea.

July 2024 I have been selfish and not written my review before as I wanted to keep this little gem to myself. This is a fantastic hotel in a superb location . The views are unbeatable and the gardens beautiful for a pre dinner stroll. I absolutely love the decor which is in keeping with the historic building but brings in some modern twists too. The bedroom was beautifully appointed with stunning views from the beautiful gothic windows. The only thing that slightly let the room down was the bathroom. It was perfectly serviceable and very clean but the fittings were very ordinary and it was an over the bath shower. It felt as if the superb attention to detail everywhere else was missing here. The Service was excellent without exception. And everyone made us feel so welcome. The tasting menu and breakfast were both outstanding. Staying here made my special birthday very special indeed. We shall definitely return….regularly

Just back from a wonderful birthday break at Penally Abbey. The hotel had been recommended to us by several friends and it more than exceeded our expectations. The interior is wonderful, super stylish while remaining comfortable and relaxed. We had Bedroom 6 - a beautifully spacious room overlooking the sea complete with armchair, sofa and an unbelievably comfortable bed with lovely linen. The staff are universally wonderful - nothing is too much trouble. The wine list is fantastic and the food is absolutely outstanding. If you're thinking about booking do not hesitate. We'll definitely be back!

The venue is simply stunning - the garden is lovely and there are some really beautiful features to the main hotel. Unfortunately I stayed in one of the coach house rooms on the ground floor, as I had my pooch with me. The room looked aesthetically pleasing, but it wasn’t until I lay down on the bed that I noticed it reeked of damp. The smell was so awful, I was unable to sleep despite opening the window etc. To me, despite how lovely the features of a room are, if damp is so bad that guests cannot sleep, then the room is not fit for purpose. I left straight after breakfast, as I was so tired I just wanted to get home to rest, forfeiting the cost of my afternoon tea that I had booked for the following day.
