The position of the hotel is perfect,all the staff were very pleasant ,breakfast was excellent. Our room was lovely all in all we had a lovely 4 day stay,and the weather was perfect has well,nothing quite like tenby in the sunshine.

The Friends of St David’s Church Trip to Giltar Hotel for Welsh Afternoon Tea. Booking Afternoon Tea for 45 people was so easy with the helpful staff. All enjoyed the delicious afternoon tea in the lovely function room with sea views. Staff were very helpful and attentive. A good experience.

I stayed for 2 nights for a nearby family wedding. Every single member of staff were friendly and professional - the receptionists, waiting staff, barman and also a word for the kitchen staff whose breakfasts were perfectly cooked. My room was comfortable, spotlessly clean (thank you, housekeeping) and with all the usual facilities. The public areas of the hotel were also immaculate and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The dining room looks out on a fantastic view of the seafront and I enjoyed time after a long journey taking in the scenery from the Esplanade. The hotel forewarn about their limited parking. There is no problem finding overnight parking within a short distance (although can be expensive) but early afternoon on the Saturday I tried to pop back to the hotel for a short while and there were queues for parking (I couldn't wait to see how long the wait would be for a space). Maybe something to plan around but didn't stop me loving my stay at the Giltar.

Friendly welcome at reception. The hotel is located on the front of the promenade it has recently been updated and refurbished. We stayed in room 308 Caldey view room floor 3 the room has a shower and bath double bed and seating area giving you a great views to the island opposite. But I must say the floor boards in the room are very noise as you walk about and the seagulls seating on the window sill tapping on the window can be very annoying and the television remote can be challenging. Parking is at a premium but thins out the later the day goes on so us the pay and display and move your car when everyone has gone. The breakfast staff very helpful and a full welsh breakfast very tasty.

We had three fantastic evening meals at the Gilter hotel we came after seeing the offer for fifteen per cent of the menu on a board outside the Hotel .The food was delicious with a good choice and very generous helping.The service was excellent all the staff were very.attentive and friendly .The Hotel is very clean and very nicely decorated with views across to south beach and caldey island We thought the price was excellent with the offer so treated ourselves on the Sunday night which was the last night of our holiday even though their was no offer If we came to Tenby again we would definitely eat at the Hotel

Wer ein renoviertes Zimmer mit Meerblick hat, darf sich vermutlich glücklich schätzen. Alle anderen dürfen in einem sehr in die Jahre gekommenen, kleinen Zimmer ohne jeglichem "Plus" wohnen (kein Zahnputzbecher, kein Shampoo, gebrauchte Teetasse wird nicht ausgetauscht...) mit Blick auf den Hinterhofparkplatz. Vom Abendessen erwartete ich nicht viel und das wurde auch so erfüllt. Am Abend gibt es eine Art Wohnzimmer, wo man einen Drink von der Bar nehmen kann. Wenige Sitzplätze, immergleiche Musikschleife. Die Getränke werden aufs Zimmer gebucht, allerdings ohne Beleg oder Unterschrift. Dementsprechend war die Abrechnung bei Abreise nicht korrekt. Ein seriöses Hotel löst das anders! Der Hotelchef ist bei Anliegen der Gäste für alle hörbar ungehalten, das darf so nicht sein. Die Hotelkategorie und die Außendarstellung entsprechen nicht der Realität. Selbst einfache B&Bs bieten mehr Komfort.

We have just returned from a four day stay. From the moment we entered the hotel we were greeted with excellent service. All the staff are amazing and I say all. The room was big, bright and spotless with very comfortable beds. The food is lovely we stayed B and B but did eat in the restaurant on one evening. You can sit on the promenade and look out to sea, the gardener works very hard to keep the cliff garden beautiful. The hotel is in a perfect position for exploring Tenby. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

First time to stay at this wonderful hotel. Room 402 beautiful, spotlessly clean. Bedding and towels whiter than white. Bed very comfortable as were pillows. Even though our room was front of hotel it was lovely and quiet, therefore had undisturbed sleep. Breakfast amazing, quality of food exceptional. Staff so accommodating and friendly. Car park full but able to park opposite hotel free of charge for length of stay. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning
