I have stayed in several Home2 Suites and love them! Just UGH this time!
GOOD - beautiful brand new hotel, very clean.
Bad - The fire alarm goes off at 6:00 a.m., stops and sounds again 10 minutes later - false alarm, but why? Not horrible, if the plan was to get up early - but that was not the plan. Room 1 - the wall thermostat did not work - at least we could set the temperature directly at the unit.
UGLY - Room 2 - Three sons try to take showers that evening - no hot water for any of them!! (um, brand new hotel) I got this news in the morning when I shared my own news.
Room 1 - my shower in the morning - no hot water!! At least it was a mild December night and morning in central Texas - still a miserable, uncomfortable, and cold shower!
Front desk's explanation for cold water - oh you have to run the water for a while to get it hot - what - 10, 20 30 minutes, I don't think so! She says - Oh we have trouble on the second floor. Ok, so why did you give us 2 rooms on the second floor, when the hotel was obviously not full.
The breakfast was disappointing. I have stayed in lower quality hotels that at least had more to offer than - waffles, toast and bagels. The coffee was good tho.
Do I recommend this location? NO
Will I stay at this location again? NO
