This was our second stay at this location. We first stayed in 2016 on the way to Galveston and we stayed this time doing the same trip. This hotel still holds up years later. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Lots of restaurants very close to the property so that's a definite bonus. Parking seemed safe. Most of the lot seems well lit. My only complaints: the rooms were a bit hot when we got there, and the pool was too cold. I know that seems small. It was very hot that day, and I know many hotels will have staff turn up room temp after cleaning to save money and energy, but it was warm in there. We turned down the temperature while we went to eat, and it was fine by the time we got back. Our girls got in the pool but didn't stay in for very long. They said the water was cold and if I remember from the previous trip the lights were on and it was bright. This time it wasn't. So, if those things are a deal breaker you might keep that in mind. Breakfast was standard free hotel breakfast fare, but it was hot and plenty of variety. My rating is based on cleanliness, customer service, and breakfast. But the pool situation, at least for us with kids, wasn't the best.

It felt like they had let the place go. The side entrances were inoperable. The fire alarm went off early in the morning and woke everyone up. The grounds around the hotel were kind of dirty. The hot tub was broken and had dead bugs floating in it. The indoor pool was ice cold. We chose the hotel largely because it had an indoor pool for our kids to use when it's chilly outside. Instead, the water was so cold that it was enjoyable for no one. The staff said it had been broken for weeks and no one had fixed it.
I will give them credit for their breakfast. The breakfast was good.

The room was fine, bed was comfortable, nice breakfast. Was really disappointed that the hot tub was out of order and the pool wasnt very warm, we booked this hotel especially because it had a hottub and a pool. We like to exercise in the water.

What was unique and what I did not like is the same.
The lady that checked me in at the front desk Thursday evening was very rude and was not helpful.
I refused to tell her the reason for my visit to Temple and I probably was not very nice when I did it and asked her why that was any of her business.
She got angry, pitched my room key across the desk and walked off.

The hotel is great! They have a wonderful breakfast and my room was clean and up-to-date. My only issue was the pillows. They are so soft, you may as well sleep flat on the bed. If you are a side-sleeper, like me, take your own pillow! I did not get any sleep while I was there.

I thought it was odd that they had me sign a quiet time in the hotel. But that's ok we are not loud people. But that was the noisiest place we have stayed! All night I heard something being moved around and people or someone walking. I don't know if it was because we were on the ground floor or what. But it was loud.

The staff was very nice.
The rooms very clean and the best shower I ever been in.
The best part was when I went to eat breakfast the plastic wear was in its own cover. I didn’t have to worry abt who had touched them. The coffee was the best!!!
Only thing I didn’t like is that the pool still isn’t open.

The reason room was on the bottom floor. It was not very sound proof, noice most of the night from other rooms, bathroom, TV and people talking loud.
