Property Description
★King Bed ★Hot Tub ★Fireplace ★Pet friendly ★ Mountain Views ★1 Hour to Colorado Springs, 2 Hours to DIA This newly renovated aframe offers incredible views on a secluded 4 acre lot. The location is close to two small towns incase you need a bite to eat or you forgot something, but also tucked away where you feel completely alone. As you enter the cabin you will come in directly to the full kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with granite counter tops, a gas stove, modern full fridge and all the kitchen essentials you should need. Directly off of the kitchen is the bathroom. It has a large vanity, shower with a glass door and tile floors. Then from the kitchen there is a washer and dryer off the back that guests are able to use which they stay. Then from a kitchen the tall vaulted ceilings of the A open up over the living room. The living room has a pull out couch that sets up as two twin beds. The fireplace is set with wood and all that you need to build a roaring fire. Up the spiral stair case there is a king bed and desk for your remote working needs. When you head outside you will find a patio furniture set for 4, a hot tub and a beautiful view! Important (Please Read)! We do NOT accept check-in or check-out on holidays. Absolutely NO open fires are allowed. The risk of wildfire in the area is too high. You will be asked to leave immediately if there is any fire activity. Pets This is a pet-friendly listing for pups who qualify. Please message us before booking for our pet policy to see if your pets qualify. There is an additional fee for bringing a pet to cover the cleaners’ extra time to keep the space fresh for future guests. Please note the only way to the loft is the spiral staircase which is not safe for pets. When we have our pup there he sleeps on the lower level. The roads require AWD or 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). The roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood are bumpy! This cabin cannot handle too much toilet flushing. It can be flushed every 20 minutes but not back to back. There is no air conditioning unit here. It is very rare in our county to have one installed in a house (even brand-new builds!). The nights are cool in the summer so to cool the house off you can open all the windows and doors, then close them during the day and you stay nice and cool! There are fans provided to help blow the cool air through the cabin. We are at 9,200 feet in elevation — altitude sickness can occur but you can do things to prevent it and alleviate symptoms including: Taking a day to rest when you arrive. Drink extra water and stay well hydrated (avoiding alcohol will help). (The tap water is from natural spring water and is delicious and safe to drink.) Wear sunscreen, even when it is cool or cloudy. The spiral staircase is narrow and it can be challenging to cart large luggage up and down. We often keep our luggage on the main level. If you have children, please be extra careful around the staircase (it’s tempting to use it as a play gym, but can be very dangerous). This house is in a neighborhood. While it feels secluded we do have neighbors through the woods. Please be mindful of your noise.About pets:Pets allowed: dogs less than 50 lbs per pet (limit 2 pets total).About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About customRules:No open fires! Anniversary Getaway This queit, charming spot was perfect for our anniversary getaway. We had a little trouble finding it as we lost signal on last mile in or so, but once we arrived, it was the perfect place to enjoy our weekend. The kitchen had enough supplies so we could stay in and cook, and the gas grill offered a nice option. Bed was comfortable and the decor was as lovely as it looks in the pictures. We are hoping to return soon!
