If you cannot even deliver a working WIFI signal to a room you don't deserve to be part of the conversation. I stayed five nights. It was based around a busy schedule and in the end I needed to cancel meetings because of the WIFI. It kept dropping, and even when connected it sat on a single bar. My stay at this hotel cost me far more than the nightly accommodation. Complaining didn't help. 4 times I went to reception over the first three days. I don't think they paid any attention. 'We will send someone' they said. Nothing happened. Nobody contacted me. Nothing changed. In the end I just gave up. If the meeting was private - I cancelled. If it was more open - I went to a local cafe. Not having a working WIFI signal in 2025 is inexcusable - not doing anything when guests complain makes it impossible to stay there or trust them. It isn't just a technical issue - it is an attitude problem. Completely destroyed a business trip. Unforgivable.

Hab ein Zimmer in der neunten Etage bezogen und das Erste, das ich sah, war ein völlig verdrecktes Fenster. Ich hab es zunächst mal geöffnet, um einen tollen Ausblick auf die Stadt zu bekommen. Mobiliar ist runter gekommen, vom unbenutzten Bett habe ich ein langes Haar aufgelesen. Die Wasserleitung hat offensichtlich ein Problem, es kam sowohl kalt als auch warm nur in sehr dünnen Strahl aus dem Hahn gelaufen. Dinner gibt es in der zweiten Etage in einer Halle, die wenig einladend ist. Es ist ein Buffet aufgebaut. Die Kartoffelspalten waren verkohlt, der Fisch trocken und alt. Die Suppe lieblos und von nichterklärbarer Substanz. Das einzig essbare waren die Salate und die Kuchen. Ich wollte mich an einem kleinen Zweiertisch niederlassen, da sah ich, dass die Tischdecke von irgendeinem Vorgänger beschmutzt verlassen und leider nicht ausgetauscht worden ist. Küchen- und Servicepersonal laufen in schmutziger Kleidung durch den Essbereich… Ich hatte abends noch Lust auf ein Glas Wein im Hotel, eine Bar sucht man vergeblich. Trotz der Nähe zum Strand - dieses Hotel, angeblich mit vier Sternen!!! muss man nicht haben

Room for improvement
Over the past 40 years I have stayed at the Grand Beach Hotel on numerous occassions and have always returned because I have found it comfortable, convenient and the kosher catering has always been good. The hotel rooms appear to have recently undergone redecoration though the furnishings are unchanged and a bit worn. On this occassion, I found that there were a number of new younger staff members at reception who I found to be very impersonal and less friendly and did not seem to take interest in the guests. The one older gentleman in reception who I have come across on previous visits was friendly and good mannered as previously experienced. I am not sure whether it is because the hotel caters to many organised tour groups which only stay for a day or two, but I still feel that the reception staff should pay more attention to friendly good manners and be more attentive to guests, especially recognising those like myself who usually stay for a week or more at the hotel

Hotel has been refurbished to a great level. The swimming pool was clean with great facilities. It was a pleasure staying there
