This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. In reality, it wasn’t a hotel at all—more like a rundown guesthouse with the bare minimum of amenities. During my eight-day stay, the room was cleaned only once. There was never anyone at the reception desk, which made things even more frustrating. The only positive aspect was the location. Other than that, everything else was a disaster. Don’t be fooled by the ratings or the photos—avoid this worthless dump at all costs.

Very noisy in the morning if you sleep on the ground floor
There is no one at the reception most of the time
The fire extinguishing system was driving me crazy for half the night until I went out and reset it myself
In the evening I asked the person in charge if there was coffee, he told me there was a cafe on the street, only in the morning did I realize that there was a crazy coffee machine in the room with a bean grinder haha

Compact room but ticked the right boxes for me. Garden needs to be tidied up. Kind and helpful service, albeit I did not have breakfast at the hotel myself.

We stayed at The Montefiore on 4.30.22 after arriving in Israel from the U.S. We stayed in Room 26 which was located on the 3rd floor. At 28 sq. meters (+/- 300 sf) with a small balcony facing Montefiore St., the sleeping area and bathroom were cozy and well designed. Our king size bed was firm and comfortable. The hotel and our room were clean and beautifully renovated. We had an excellent dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. I don’t think the restaurant manager was too impressed with our request for a table without a reservation because he replied (in Hebrew) to the hotel manager that they were completely booked. We asked the hotel manager if the restaurant was booked for the rest of the night or just right now. A couple of minutes later she phoned us and said a table would be available in 15 minutes. What’s wrong with a little gaslighting after 16+ hours on a plane? The hotel’s restaurant space doubles as the breakfast venue. Similar to other hotels in Israel, an enormous amount of food is served with breakfast. There is a menu with various entrees that is accompanied by a tray of different Mediterranean items (shirazi salad, hummus, tahini, cheeses, bread items, etc.). Breakfast was excellent. Despite the initial hiccup with dinner, we would recommend The Montefiore Hotel and restaurant if you’re planning to stay in central Tel Aviv.

Nous sommes arrivés vers 20h et il n'y avait qu'un interphone pour nous accueillir. Certes les clés nous attendaient sur le bureau dans le hall d'entrée. Nous avons alors découvert une chambre beaucoup moins attrayante que les photos ne le laissaient penser. L'animation sonore était au rendez-vous: ventilation extérieure et passage d'avions à partir de 3h du matin ! Les photos (suite) laissaient entrevoir un superbe buffet pour le petit-déjeuner. Eh bien non ! On nous a servis avec parcimonie un choix très limité de mets. L'expresso demandé a été compté comme supplément.... Il faut tout de même reconnaître que cet hôtel est très bien situé près d'un quartier animé.

J'avais réservé une chambre pour 7 nuits et en arrivant dés le 7 février prévenu que je ne resterais pas les 7 nuits pour des raisons familiales de fait je suis restée 5 nuits et m'aperçois sur mon relevé bancaire que l'hôtel a facturé 7 nuits à partir de ma carte de crédit sans m'en avertir car en effet au moment du check- out le 11 février à 8.30, il n'y avait comme souvent personne à la réception bien que j'ai prévenu de mon départ j'ai demandé à l'hôtel de me rembourser les 2 nuits ce qu'il refuse à faire sous des prétextes divers
