Qiongkushitai Snow Cedar Boutique Resort
Nestled at the foot of snow-capped mountains in Xinjiang’s Qiongkushitai Village, this sanctuary is embraced by millennium-old cedar forests and the murmuring Kurder River, offering exclusive access to the mystical gateway of the legendary Wusun Ancient Trail. Our timber cottages perch against the mountainside, where panoramic views of snow-capped peaks merging with endless grasslands greet you through every window. At dawn, mist weaves through the woods; by dusk, galaxies cascade over the wilderness—a serene retreat where primal nature restores the soul.
Rooted in the philosophy of "returning to simplicity," the resort harmonizes Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetics with Kazakh nomadic heritage. Earthy-toned courtyards adorned with tribal motifs, rhythmic hand drumming around crackling bonfires under starry skies, and the aroma of freshly brewed milk tea in the teahouse evoke the warmth of pastoral life. Here, surrender to intuition: wander through ancient forests, meditate by the river’s song, or lounge on your terrace as winds whisper through cedar boughs—immersed in the pure rhythm of nature.
A poetic sanctuary where snow-kissed peaks meet emerald meadows, no distant trek required. Whether families bond by crackling fires or solo travelers seek solitude, Snow Cedar Resort frames life’s moments under open skies. Sip coffee as dawn breaks, gather around twilight flames, and let the land’s quiet magic rekindle the forgotten philosophy of slow living.

I want to praise this homestay, it is worthy of being the best homestay in Qiongkushitai. I have been making travel guides for a long time, but I didn't expect the experience to be better than expected. There were brothers and sisters waiting to pick up the luggage before I got off the car at the door of the homestay. Everyone was so enthusiastic, and I felt at home. The reception hall for check-in was very warm, and the photos were also very good. Afternoon tea was served as soon as I arrived in the room. They were all ethnic snacks, delicious and easy to take pictures. Welcome fruits were also given. The room facilities are super good, with everything you need. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and eye masks, earplugs, dental floss, umbrellas, flashlights, etc. are also prepared. The small details make people feel comfortable. The hair dryer is a Dyson, The electric toilet is so convenient. The bedding is so comfortable. It was the best sleep I had in these few days away. It is soft and skin-friendly. The most important thing is that the view from the window is amazing. There are two large floor-to-ceiling windows and a small window. It feels like sleeping in a painting. I was woken up by the cries of cows, horses and sheep in the morning (waking up happily). I have stayed in many homestays. Some of them have room interiors and facilities that I like very much, but the scenery is not good. Some have beautiful scenery but the room is very bad. This one really makes it possible to enjoy the beautiful scenery in a comfortable room. By the way, his house is on an independent small hillside with a very wide view and beautiful scenery, so we stayed in the homestay the whole time and did not go to the back mountain because we felt it was unnecessary. The restaurant is also great for taking photos. The big table by the window looks like a movie scene, with a strong oil painting feel. The key is that the food cooked by the chef is delicious. It was the most delicious meal I had in Xinjiang. Even if you don’t stay in the B&B, you must go to his restaurant to try it. It is said that there are only zero and countless times to go to Xinjiang, but you will fall in love with it as long as you go there once, so I will definitely go to Xinjiang again next year and stay in this homestay again. I will definitely come again~

The room is very clean and the location of the B&B is easy to find. It is on the way to Qiongkushitai. Generally speaking, everyone gets off at the Qiongkushitai Village Committee, but you don't need to get off at the village committee to go to Rugu B&B. Just tell the driver to get off on the way down the mountain. It's only 15 minutes away from the village committee. You can see the Rugu sign on the roadside.
On the first night, I ate beef hotpot while looking at the mountain view. It was absolutely delicious! Very comfortable.
The view is very wide and completely unobstructed.
Every room has large windows with a view facing the snow-capped mountains and grasslands. "Open the window to the world, close the door for peace of mind." Enjoy a luxurious standalone space where you can lie back and gaze at the snow-capped mountains and grasslands, fulfilling your dream of being in the clouds.

The homestay is located in the Kayingde Kushtai Animal Husbandry Village, Karadala Town. This is a traditional Kazakh old wooden house that has been around for 50 years. The wooden house is surrounded by 360-degree snowy mountains. The front of the house is the Tianshan Mountains to see the snow mountain pine forest, and the back mountain to see the Karajun grassland. The homestay is quiet and independent. The original intention of homestay construction: the appearance and structure of the wooden house has not been changed, and more attention is paid to the comfort in the room. The traditional Kazakh wooden house is combined with contemporary design, so that you can go to life in nature. The homestay mattresses are from Xiaomi 8h and Hilton Sri Lanka latex mattresses. The furniture supplies are from IKEA high-end series. The bed is Fanji and IKEA. The bedding is pure linen and cotton. The quilt is duck down quilt. The room is equipped with a Spanish fireplace. The bathroom is equipped with KOHLER toilet and bathtub, Italian Delong coffee machine and bean grinder, Nordic style candlestick. From the heart to the heart, the panoramic floor glass of the room to enjoy the snow scenery of the Tianshan Mountains. Watch the starry sky and the moon at night. There are traditional Kazakh food and Chinese food, and you can order for a fee.
The location is outside the Kalajun Scenic Area, with a wide view. It is recommended to choose the second row of rooms. There is a muddy road + horse farm in front of the first row of rooms. The interior of the room is very clean, but it is really not soundproof (the sound of rain at night, the barking of dogs in the middle of the night, the footsteps and voices of the guests on the wooden pallet are all clear)
The focus is on the service:
[Butler service] This time the butler is Xiaobai, a Kazakh boy who just graduated from high school and is currently interning in the hotel to prepare for college. He has a strong sense of national pride and is very enthusiastic~
[Hotel activities] Participated in ethnic home visits, and the activity itself is very good! Here comes the point: the original fee was 150 yuan and the last 0 yuan. The turning point was when I checked out, I saw the Ctrip page saying that the home visit activity was free. I showed it to the front desk + boss, but they didn’t know it. I was shocked 🤯 and then the boss said directly 🆓 but it gave me a very unprofessional feeling
[Bar price] The location is next to the horse farm, American/latte/hazelnut latte 48RMB! Problem 1: The price is too high. I specifically compared it with the Kurdenin Valley Campground where I stayed later. The most expensive coffee was 38 RMB. 2. The price of coffee is the same regardless of the category. This is the first time I have ever seen it! At least American coffee should be cheap! It is not hand-brewed coffee.
[Restaurant price] At first I suspected that the price of the scenic hotel might be so expensive. How expensive is it? Green pepper and preserved egg cost 68 or 78! Compared with the Nara Tixishi fake farm where I stayed later, the price of vegetables is generally 30-60 more expensive!
Summary: Good location, good environment, but extremely poor service (giving people the feeling of a completely scattered temporary team of workers who are about to disband at any time)

Perfect
GGuest UserI highly recommend this homestay, especially during the peak tourist season. The owner is reliable, honest and enthusiastic! The room is very clean, and the owner and his family are meticulous people who have kept the courtyard very well. The service provided is also very good. Thumbs up
YYixiumei_zThe homestay is newly opened this year. There is a large yard when you enter the door. The boss grows a variety of vegetables. As soon as we enter the door, the proprietress asked the boss to cut us watermelon to eat. The room was very large and clean. It was also very close to Bagua City and within walking distance. It was also very convenient to go to Karachi the next day.
GGuest UserThe hotel is clean and hygienic, and the cleaning aunties are very polite and helpful when we meet them. The security guards at the door will take the initiative to help open the door and pick up the luggage. The front desk and waiters are also very enthusiastic. Leave the laundry to them and leave it to them. They will wash and dry the clothes for us. The room was delivered to the room by a robot. Since it was too cold outside for the first time in Xinjiang and the travel time was delayed, I communicated with the hotel and checked out at 4 o'clock. There was no problem. In short, the environment is good, the people are good, the service is good, and every detail is well done.
GGuest UserI seldom write reviews for hotels, but I must write one for this one. Let me start with the reason. At 6 o'clock in the morning, I found that my child had a fever, and I forgot to bring the thermometer. I called the boss for help, and the boss got up immediately (friends who are familiar with Xinjiang will know how early 6 o'clock is in Xinjiang). It turned out that the cap of the thermometer was not tightened before, and it fell to the ground and broke when I took it. I thought I could only wait until 9 o'clock when the pharmacy opened to buy a new one. A few minutes later, the boss called and said that he would drive to my home in the county to get me a new one. It would take more than half an hour to go back and forth. I am so grateful to the boss. After taking the child's temperature, he gave him medicine in time. As for the B&B itself, the room is clean and tidy, and there is no problem with hot water for bathing. There is a pavilion in the yard, which is very pleasant to sit for a while in summer. The owner also let the children pick a few tomatoes grown by themselves, which is very enthusiastic. The breakfast is cooked by the family. The home-cooked breakfast is very comfortable to eat. The egg pancakes are baked very well, and the steamed buns are also very skilled. In the morning, you can watch the sunrise on the mountain and watch the sun gradually fill Tekes County. I couldn't go to see it in person because my child was sick, but I happened to meet a guest who came back to catch up on sleep after watching it. His original words were beautiful.
GGuest UserStaying at this B&B was a very pleasant experience. The service is attentive and thoughtful, the room is spacious and bright, the facilities are complete, and the price-performance ratio is very high. The unique loft style of the B&B feels like a paradise. I thought it would be beautiful in summer, but I didn’t expect it to be even more beautiful in winter.
GGuest UserThe room is really big, the environment is amazing, the air is good, it's a natural oxygen bar, it's very quiet at night, you can also do the Tai Chi Eye Ferris wheel, the environment in the hotel yard is also very comfortable, it's worth recommending.
GGuest UserFacilities: high-end, elegant and classy, excellent location, in the city center, convenient for eating and shopping, fully equipped with everything, including flashlights, clothes drying poles and clothes ropes in the bathroom, attentive and considerate
Sanitation: clean and tidy, beautiful and comfortable
Environment: very beautiful environment, convenient parking
Service: considerate and thoughtful, the boutique bed booked by Ctrip does not include breakfast, but after arriving at the store, the front desk staff directly gave two breakfast coupons, skilled in business and high quality, the security uncle was very enthusiastic, arranged parking spaces and directed parking
GGuest UserThe room is very good and great value for money. It's just a few minutes' drive from the center of Bagua City. The lady boss is also super nice. You can stay here when going to Kalajun Prairie. It's convenient.
GGuest UserThe homestay in Qiongkushitai is probably the most expensive one on this trip to Xinjiang, but it is also the most comfortable one. On the first day of the Buddhist trip, it was cloudy and was going to rain, so we didn't go anywhere and stayed in the B&B for the whole afternoon. Fortunately, the B&B had an exclusive hillside full of wild flowers and the popular swing, and most importantly, there was no horse manure. I heard that it would take three hours to ride back and forth on the back mountain, so I simply didn't go. I stayed on the hillside behind the B&B, which was a big plus. Also, the tiramisu was delicious!
GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy, the customer service was very good, and we asked for extra quilts, which was promptly answered. It is a recommended accommodation, and the room also has air conditioning. The only pity is that we checked in very late that night, and we didn't have a good time to explore the Bagua City in Tekes. We had planned to stay the next day, but it seemed like it would rain after looking at the weather forecast, so we changed our itinerary temporarily.
