We had to unfortunately cancel our 5 night stay for New Year due to illness. We asked if our stay could be deferred in the circumstances but were told in a most officious and non solicitous manner that the answer was NO. We do think that some concern, consideration and negotiation could have been given/done. Compliments of the season - NOT.

I was made to feel very welcome on arrival at the Thornhill and every time we returned. The breakfast menu covered all tastes and preferences.
My only problem was that we had a room on the top floor and, because of my disability, I struggled to get to my room. This was not the fault of the hotel or staff, but my own. If I go again, I will make sure to book the ground floor room.

It was in a good position for the town and the beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfasts are appetising.
