We had a truly memorable stay at The Hermitage in Kanatal. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was prompt and courteous, making our stay a real pleasure. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with a lovely garden full of blooming flowers that adds to the charm and serenity of the place. What made the experience even more special was the hospitality of Mr. Bhatia, the owner. His welcoming nature and engaging conversations made us feel right at home. He genuinely cares about his guests and ensures they’re comfortable and well looked after. Very tastefully designed and passionately run by the owners itself. Our group had a wonderful time at this cozy place. The staff was extremely courteous and prompt. It was a pleasure meeting Mr. Bhatia (The Owner - He calls himself Darbaan) every interaction with him was an enriching experience. We especially enjoyed the delicious lamb preparation he recommended. Thank you so very much!

We had a great stay out here. Room was neat, clean, spacious. There was heater in the bed. How water avaliable 24 hrs. Food was homely. Beautiful ambience. Warm people. Thank you everyone out there to make our stay comfortable. I am grateful.

Excellent manager RANBIR SINGH and staff and the property was awesome. Beautiful view of mountains and rooms are well spacious with balcony and pleasant atmosphere . You can see beautiful mountain range from your balcony and the wooden floor gives you a nice feel. The temperature this time was normal so we could stay outside till ten in the night and enjoy. Ranbir and his team make us feel at home . You ask for it and they will try their best to make the facilities.

We had a magical experience at the hotel. Well-maintained property with courteous staff, excellent service and great food. The hotel is located on the highway and can be missed, but once inside the beauty of the place overwhelms you. We fell in love with the garden area overlooking the deodar forests and also spent a good amount of time in the games room. Would love to visit again.

A magical trip to kanatal the heritage property run by Suman Bhatia and her husband Les. The wonderful personalised service , courtesy , hospitality , and food was top class .. a must visit . Great weather through the year.. From spring into winter for snow.

Loved the location the vibe and ambience. The food is awesome and fresh. My room was comfortable and had all the essential amenities. Special note for the staff..courteous pleasant and efficient. Suman and Les are great hosts. So worth a visit. stayed for four nights. Definitely coming back again.

You can almost miss The Hermitage, ubiquitous on the Chamba-Mussoorie highway. We did, as we were carrying internet pictures of the property in our minds. But once you enter and walk across to the rear sitout, you relate to these pictures and appreciate the open spaces. The front of the property faces a valley while the rear looks into a forest. There are lots of reviews already posted. So, not much to add. The owner Lez Bhatia is a wonderful host and a great conversationalist. The property is clean, the rooms are comfortable, though a bit overpriced and the electric bed warmers are a very thoughtful idea. There is not much choice for eating out in the area. This was okay with us since the service and staff are excellent at the hotel.
