Dolina Retreat

Located few hundred meters inside from the main road, in the quaint environs lies Dolina retreat. It is a small, flat land surrounded by mountains on threes sides, walnut trees and just 6 cottages. One cottage is made on stilts, they call it tree house. I found the tree house located at the best spot in the farmstay. It is situated at the end of the property , surrounded by trees, balcony all around, glass all around, glass top bathroom, sauna, jacuzzi, big shower, big glass windows make the tree house experience quite nice. Other cottages are also nice, with electrically warmed mattresses, heaters and heated towel rack. But tree house is the best bet, despite of being expensive than rest of the rooms. The food is tasty and staff members are nice and well trained. Usually I don’t stay at farm stays or unbranded properties bit this place was amazing.

If I could describe Dolina Retreat in one word I would call that place - Magical! It is a great place to visit with your friends and family. Very beautiful and scenic location with absolute privacy and calm that one needs to escape from the hustle bustle of their busy lives. Right from the scenic drive to the pick up point followed by an pff road drive till the main point, it is a journey worth undertaking. Once you reach the property you would actually feel you have come to a wonderland. The cottages are nestled amidst a green walnut orchard and the whole view is nothing less than magic. The cottages are so well equipped with modern and luxurious fittings that you may not find even in the 5 stars at times. Away from all the crowd of the world, one must come there to just get lost in the peaceful lush greens. For the ones who cannot sit idle, there are many indoor and outdoor games like archery, badminton, treks etc. My favourite being the short hike upto the ridge point and beyond from where one gets absolutely gorgeous views of the doon valley and Mussoorie hills. But honestly one must just go there to do absolutely nothing and let go of all the worries and just immerse in the serenity and inhale that calm. Staff is super cooperative and chef made sure the food is as per your taste buds. In one word- YUMMY! It feels that everyone there has only one aim- to make you feel at home. Special mention to Pranay who definitely was the key factor in booking Dolina. Right from my first conversation with Pranay when we had just shortlisted the property to the last conversation till we checked out, it felt so easy and comfortable. I must appreciate his patience with which he dealt all my queries with and helped us throughout. Even during our stay, he made sure my kids had an amazing and unforgettable time. ( Thank you for that special marshmallow bonfire experience for my kids) My kids felt so comfortable that they just didn’t want to come back from there. Also the fact they made a new friend ( Ved) there instantly, talks about the positive vibes of a place and its people. We definitely had one of the best times and would love to go back soon.

Beautiful secret place amidst nature, the ridge is my favourite spot. Will be suggesting this place to everyone I know. Amazing staff very helpful. Mr. Pranay is a perfect host for the place he took care of all of our needs and demands.

We stayed at Treehouse, it was very beautiful, very calm and peaceful stay. All we could hear is nature sound- sound of birds, trees. Wish we could stay for more days. Service was excellent, staff was well trained, food was good and manager was very accommodating.

This is the place to be, it has greenary, good food, awesome staff and most importantly nature that will mesmerise you and your stay. Moreover place is remote and far from city life and that is what we who come from city expect

Our visit to the Dolina Retreat was the highlight of the trip ..it is such a beautiful and serene natural sanctuary and we were able to completely soak in Nature's healing powers. What appealed to me is that there is minimal human intervention - no ugly concrete blocks but a vista of trees and Nature at her pristine best. The management has done well to keep the flavour of the walnut grove intact. And the food was heavenly ..each dish was tastier than the other and served in style in a dining room which felt like a tree house with glass windows all around. Truly a place to totally relax and enjoy fresh mountain air
