Hampton Inn Winfield/Teays Valley

We have stayed at this Hampton Inn one to three times per year for the past seven years. This property get older and more run down each time with each time we stay.. There were many issues that showed a lack of attention to detail by management and staff. We observed many weeds growing up around the outside of the property. The parking lot is in need of being reblacktopped. One of the parking lot lights was not working properly. As soon as we walked in our room, we could clearly see the phone cord was broken to the phone. The room lights are very low wattage and in the evening the room is dimly lit. I went to get Hot Chocolate at the coffee station and there was no hot water out. Starting at check in, I went to by the desk seven times in the evening, and not once ws any one at the desk.The Breakfast room furniture should have been replaced months ago. The funiture has nicks, splits, and fabric missing. Three of the tables are "Children sized" tables. This property is very much past due in being remodled. Breakfast very, very minimal! No boiled eggs, two choices of cerial; corn flakes and raisin brand. very limited choices of bread and pastries, no cold sliced fresh fruit.. The outside pool was closed. This property allows large dogs to stay in the rooms. No USA Today or any other newspaper. This Hampton only has one elevator. This Hampton is TOO expencive for the condition it is in, and lack of helpfull staff.. In the future we plan to stay at the Holiday Inn across the street, I would suggest you do as well.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. The room was very nice and updated. Several dining options were walkable from the hotel.

Nice, clean, exceeded our expectations. Restaurant next door was great and convenient.

Location easy to 35. Staff professional & friendly. Rooms very clean & comfortable. Quiet.

Staff was very nice

We had 1 or 2 dogs in the room next door They barked for about 10 minutes every 1/2 hour as mom and or dad was out. This went on until 9:30 pm when i called. They tried calling to get m & d to come back. We had to move down the hall after which, everything was fine.
