Hotel Khokhobi Old Tbilisi Reviews

Stayed here for a few nights, and it was excellent for exploring Old Town. It's directly next to the sulphur baths and within walking distance of loads of bars and restaurants. The rooms are nice, cozy, clean, with a classic feel, and the balcony was a nice touch. George, the host, (and another gentleman whose name I didn’t catch) were great, helping us to get around and dodge some sketchy cab drivers (always take Bolt). Breakfast was a nice touch too. Will stay again.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, but it is very difficult to find, especially in the evening. The room is good, the price fully corresponds to the quality.

The location is good, you can eat when you go out, it's convenient to travel, the room is very clean, the boss is also very good, there are only a few steps of stairs, and there is a button on the stairs, you can press it to let the boss help you come down to get the luggage. I saw a lot of people in the comment area saying that there are many stairs and it is inconvenient to carry luggage. I can only say that they are too pretentious. There are only a few stairs, so it's completely possible.

Room service is good and clean, but breakfast seems a bit lacking

The hotel is located in the center of the old town, in an interesting place, on a narrow pedestrian street. You can't get there by taxi, you need to go up the stairs (it's hard with bags). The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, the shower is convenient. The breakfasts are not bad, but without local pastries. The selected room in the description promised a view of the landmark. This was not the case. The view was of people passing by the window. We did not notice any service. Perhaps cleaning is on request (we did not ask), but tea and coffee bags could be added without asking. There was no water in the room. We asked at the reception once - they gave it to us. We did not ask again. We also had to ask for a second key to the room.

The hygiene of the bedding is very questionable, but the location is very good, the service is good, and the breakfast is also good

Very unique boutique hotel at an excellent location in the heart of the old city. Spotless well maintained rooms, very comfortable bed, ample storage space, a safe and a fridge. Staff all very nice, friendly and helpful, hats off to Buba and the team.

Stayed 4 nights in a small standard room with a balcony. The hotel is exceptional. Nicely decorated cozy room, modern bathroom, and a super comfortable bed and pillows. Spotless. Location is in the heart of the old city, next to the sulphur baths, lots of restaurants around, everything is within walking distance. Very quiet. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Wonderful memories from the stay.

Its a very wonderfully located hotel. Right in the middle of a very beautiful district. The steps leading to the hotel are a killer if you have heavy luggage. But I had Sandro to help! Check-in was a breeze again because of Sandro. The breakfast is great, with freshly baked pancakes and Tsirinaki (did I spell that right?) Loved those pancakes so much that I requested the manager (forgetting his name) if he could pack me some to take home...which he readily did!! Sandro and his brother Giorgi are a great team. They make you feel very comfortable and at home. The view from the balcony - just amazing! The rooms are bit small and tend to get congested. But were OK since I was alone. A restaurant service, even with a limited menu would be most helpful as they only serve breakfast. Overall, a great stay!

I stayed at this hotel at the end of November for 3 nights. The price for the room was excellent. I arrived early morning and was able to check in straight away. The staff were very pleasant and offered me a further discount if I paid cash for my stay that day. I did this and there were no issues with doing so, other than saving more money. I was upgraded to a room with a huge outdoor patio/ balcony area which afforded me the most terrific view of the old town of Tbilisi and of the Sulphur Baths and Botanical Gardens. It looked lovely in the daytime but even more magical at night. The bedroom was comfortable, but had a slightly lingering musty smell but it did come with tea and coffee making facilities, a comfortable bed, a seating area and tv and a decent bathroom with a good shower. There was also a huge amount of storage and there was also a safe. I was lucky with the weather when I was there and so for the time I was in my room I was able to make use of the outside patio area. There was a large hanging swing seat which was a wonderful place to sit and soak up some of the sunshine. This room was up a couple of steep flights of stairs and so wouldn’t be the best choice for any visitors with any mobility issues. Access to the hotel from the street level is also up some steps and along an alleyway. The distance isn’t far but carrying luggage makes it seem further. There are then a number of different buildings belonging to the hotel, all positioned close-by and containing a number of rooms. The security is really good and the hotel configuration is very easy to navigate your way around. From the hotel you can use a staircase positioned very close by that takes you down to the botanical gardens and the sulphur baths. The hotel really is in a fantastic part of Tbilisi and within easy walking distance of many of its attractions. Breakfast was included in the room price. There was a large variety of food available and you were encouraged to indicate what you wanted and then the ladies in the kitchen served you. You could have anything you wanted and they would also cook egg dishes for you. Drinks and juice were also available on a self service basis. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. The room design and furniture may not be considered slightly old fashioned but it is clean and provides excellent value for money. It is also in a superb part of town, close to cafes, bars and restaurants and shops.

The hotel was amazing. The staff are smiling and helpful, helping with anything needed. The location is excellent and the food is delicious and fresh. The entire hotel is amazingly designed and maintained.

I leave the hotel to my wife and she did not let us down again. This is a great hotel in a phenomenal position with the old town. They were helpful in getting from the airport and the desk was 24/7 making it easy to check in at 2am. The room was a good size and our balcony had a great view over the baths. The room was comfy and the breakfast was filling making this hotel great value for money considering its location.

Great location in the old town. We stayed on two occasions and on both the room was of a good size. Good hearty breakfast with plenty of options. Very good WiFi. Only negative were the quality of towels which had holes in on both occasions we stayed.
