This is our third visit to the beautiful Inn. It is exceptional. The food is delicious with wonderful variety and choice. The rooms are delightful with lovely linens and large comfortable beds. The bathroom is practical with a good shower. Breakfast is delicious. Great outdoors for relaxing with a nice drink. We will be back.

Service and food excellent as always. A little pricey, but worth it. Nice because they do a few fish dishes. Good atmosphere.

Driving down to Porkellis from Kent on a Sunday, thought we would stop off in Tavistock for lunch as we love the town. I was on find somewhere to eat duty being the passenger. We had two dogs in tow so it might of limited our options. Luckily I booked at about 10am for a table at 12.30, you really need to book. I had the pork roast and my wife had 2 starters, well, I couldn’t believe the roast. Best end of saddleback and crackling with maple smoked belly, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, carrots, red and white cabbage, Apple sauce and an extra pot of gravy, absolutely delicious, and at £23.95 really good value. My wife had the ham hock scotch egg which was also very good. She also had the burrata salad, and said the pesto was really good. Highly recommend and will probably be back.

It really was a stay of two tales. Firstly the hospitality was excellent, impeccable service and the food was sublime. Our dinner was delicious, generous portions and cooked to perfection. Breakfast was also amazing. The room was lovely and as others have commented everything had been thought about including little flapjacks, fresh milk, lovely toiletries and a very comfortable bed. However and it is a big one that they can do nothing about other than offer the earplugs that sadly didn't help.. the Saturday night street and neighbouring nightclub vibe didn't calm down till well gone 2.30 am. Due to the warm weather we had to have the window open and all in all a totally sleepless night.. such a shame as there isn't much they can do about the location as it really is a fabulous pub other wise!

The whole overnight stay with breakfast was fantastic. The bar was our first stop to whet our whistle, just the job with very friendly bar staff. The room was clean with a lovely en suite bathroom and shower. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Dinner was exceptional and at 65 years of age I had one of the best steaks that I have ever had, cooked to perfection it was delicious. Probably didn’t need the sticky toffee pudding but we are both so glad we did. Breakfast in the morning set us both up for the day ahead and was pretty much faultless. All in all I would recommend to any food lovers heading into the area and can’t wait for our next visit.

We spent a lovely overnight stay here on our way down to Cornwall. Our room was beautifully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. Our dinner was great, food wonderful with great flavour combinations. After a great nights sleep I had a wonderful breakfast, genuinely one of the best cooked English breakfasts I have ever had.

This is a fantastic place to stay, right in the town.
There is parking on site which is very handy.
The staff were all very welcoming and helpful.
The food is simply amazing.
We will definitely be back.

Nice place but food expensive
Very nice staff at the bar and housecleaning.
Hotel very clean and well presented.
Bed was very hard and the room was over the kitchen air vent so had smells of cooking if you opened the window.
Food is very expensive and not competitive with surrounding establishments.

A pub with rooms does NOT cover the Cornish Arms - it is very friendly, good atmosphere and location, but the rooms are spotlessly clean, very comfortable and very good value for money. Great facilities, great food, great staff. We will certainly stay here again!
