Relais San Martino Salento

L’albergo purtroppo è stato molto deludente. Le foto del sito secondo me ingannano. Iniziando dalla stanza, avevamo prenotato una matrimoniale superior. Gli spazi sono grandi ma l’arredamento è tutto molto “cheap”, dall’inizio alla fine, a partire dai mobili fino ad arrivare agli asciugamani, sottilissimi. Allego foto della camera. Sembra più un hotel tre stelle. Inoltre la nostra stanza affacciava proprio sul ristorante quindi poco silenziosa e per arrivare al nostro ingresso bisognava passare di fronte alla cucina. Anche la colazione è stata molto deludente, considerando 20 euro di supplemento a persona. Il buffet è molto scarso, uova sode, pasticciotti, focaccia, pane, frutta, yogurt e salame con formaggio. La colazione inizia alle 8 e finisce alle 10, alle 8.30 non c’erano già più parecchie cose, generalmente vanno ricaricate le cose che finiscono invece qui a quanto pare una volta finite sono finite e basta, quindi per poter scegliere bisogna andare a colazione presto. Ho chiesto se avessero delle scelte al di fuori del buffet e mi è stato detto solo uova strapazzate o fritte. questo però mi è stato detto solo dopo averlo chiesto io. Nessuno si è preoccupato di chiederci se avevamo bisogno di ordinare qualcosa oppure anche solo un caffè, anzi, quando lo abbiamo chiesto ci è stato detto che quello della macchinetta in sala è migliore perché in grani, infatti quello del loro bar ha la macchinetta con le cialde. (Pessimo tra l’altro). Non mi soffermo su aspetti relativi alla stanza perché faccio prima a mettere le foto. L’ultimo appunto, la piscina strettissima, sarà larga penso sui due metri non di più. È lunga e stretta, già se ci sono tre/quattro persone a fare il bagno si è a disagio. Per concludere dovevamo l’asciare l’albergo alle 5/5.15 nonostante avessimo pagato 40 euro di supplemento per la colazione, ci è stato detto che non sarebbe stato possibile farci prendere nemmeno un caffè. In compenso ci hanno offerto un bicchiere di vino che avevamo consumato… ma ovviamente l’importo era ben al di sotto del supplemento per la colazione. Non torneremo più in questo posto, non è un hotel da 600 euro per tre notti nemmeno lontanamente. Deludente.

È una vecchia residenza sapientemente riportata al suo splendore. Si respira la cura dei dettagli ed il buon gusto . Il personale è cordialissimo. La cucina è ottima, Elisa ha descritto i piatti e i suoi ingredienti con passione e professionalità. Strepitoso l’antipasto con tris di mare e di terra. La colazione è molto varia e ce n’è per tutti i gusti, dai croissant, alla crostata, allo yogurt bianco, fino al salato…c’era anche un’attenta selezione di semi ,come chia ecc! Aggiungete che consumate i pasti in un bel giardino, coccolati. What’else ? Amerete questo posto. Nota di merito anche sul letto e i cuscini, che sono comodissimi. Esperienza molto positiva!

We were guests of Relais San Martino, a truly unique and special location, a place of peace where you can find yourself, in harmony and well-being. The deluxe suite we occupied was large (made up of two large rooms each with its own full bathroom), comfortable (the interiors have been carefully studied down to the smallest details), equipped with a fridge, Illy coffee machine, kettle for herbal teas and a safe; also noteworthy is the extreme cleanliness of the rooms. An important mention of the attention that the structure reserves for the environment by adopting an eco-friendly management style. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with great kindness by Antonio, an exquisite person, with a welcome drink consumed in the beautiful garden in the shade of the trees. The details make the difference in this hotel, the sounds of Zen music in the background, the whispered conversation, the aromatherapy... the absolute white that prevails and gives a sense of relaxation, the thought of the goodnight message on the pillow... the buffet breakfast, rich and suitable for any need, the sweet Mariagrazia and the other ladies, always available to the customer's requests... and the cacti, the ancient citrus grove, the bougainvillea, the spaces and the colors! Everything is perfect. What is happiness at San Martino? It is a beer drunk by the pool, it is enjoying a good breakfast in the garden, it is walking in the citrus grove, it is sleeping peacefully, it is chatting with genuine people.. it is enjoying a swim in the pool, it is the quiet that you breathe. Truly, we felt at home, guests of the wonderful people and land of Salento. We already miss you: Antonio, Francesco, Federica, Imma, Rossella, Mariagrazia and the ladies of the hall and the others whose names I don't remember ... a thank you to the kind ladies who thought about the tidying of the rooms always with discretion.
