Great stay! Very friendly owner and good location near the beach (20 minutes walk from town). Mostly clean but room carpet could do with a good clean/replacing.

The decoration of the hotel is clean and tidy, and the location is very good. It is right on the edge of Lake Taupo and parking is convenient. The front desk seems to be a ********* uncle who is very friendly and can communicate in Chinese.

This motel is in a great location across from the swimming part of Lake Taupo and handy to town. Unfortunately we arrived in the middle of the Ironman Challenge race early March 2025 but finally managed to get to the accommodation. Staff friendly. Parking was quite narrow, we have a small car and had trouble getting in and out. The bathroom was very outdated, could do with a renovation and get rid of the horrible spa bath and rearrange the rest of the bathroom. The bathroom looked quite tired. Light switches also need replacing and also a shortage of power points, there were 3 above the kitchen bench but 2 were quite high up. More power points round the room would be good. Most of the power points were behind the beds so therefore hard to get to to charge devices. The microwave was also too high, we are shorter so hard to reach to use. I thought this motel is a bit overpriced for what was on offer. Main good thing is location and nice staff.

Great innkeepers, provided a wealth of information on what to do in the area.
Was within easy walk of the town and had good on site parking.
Family unit was clean and up the back of the property.
Property was a little tired and dated but had all we needed for a short stay for three adults.

Clean unit, lousey parking.
Nicely appointed unit. Parking was difficult, bed was hard and pillows quite flat.
Cannot fault the cleanliness or space of the unit. One large SUV parked in the middle park meant the parks other side were useless on the level our unit was on even for our small car.

Hands down the best place we've stayed
This place was definitely the best place we've stayed so far. The service was really good and the cleanliness was incredible, not a spec of dust or sand or anything anywhere. Spewin we didnt stay longer
