So good for work, love this place. Everything you need and still close to town. Great hosts. Would stay here for weekends away also, clean- really clean,,,close to everything, great hosts - again! Not quite home but feels better than anywhere we have tried in Taupo, really comfortable, great set up and comfortable couches . Full kitchen and laundry in the unit. It’s the best we have found and we have tried many in Taupo. This is now our go too, and will book here every time for work or pleasure.

This property has an excellent location and the rooms are nicely appointed. We had a two bedroom two bathroom suite, with a superb lake view, for a party of 4 adults. Unfortunately, the disappointment for us was the onsite managers (a British couple). When we first arrived, just a little beyond the start of check-in time no one was at the front desk and we waited some time before the husband came down from an apartment above. At check in, he stated we got a very good rate for the unit and would not have gotten that now that they were managing the property. He proceeded to badmouth the prior managers of the property. We did not need to hear this, or about the rate we were given online 8 months prior. Upon moving into the unit we notice a broken leg of a chair and some other dirty items. When we brought this to the attention of the manager, he proceeded to blame the prior guests and installers of the new furniture. Additionally, we were assigned a parking spot but could not access it because someones vehicle was parked in a "do not park" spot. It turned out to be the manager's own vehicle who stated he parked there because he did not have a place to park. He agreed to move it a few hours later. In summary, we got the impression that the older British couple managing the property were more concerned about their experience than the guests. My recommendation is the managers attend some customer service training courses.
