Avoid this hotel - Worst Experience in Uzbekistan
This was by far the worst experience I had in Uzbekistan. The staff was rude and not at all courteous. I had emailed them twice requesting an early check-in, but when I arrived, they said they hadn't responded to my emails and it wasn’t their responsibility. They completely ignored my request and demanded 50% of the room cost just for a 2-hour early check-in. And the way they said was very unprofessional. This was really disappointing compared to all the other places I stayed in Uzbekistan.
The room was also very small for the price. At checkout, they tried to charge me extra for things like "dirty towels," so be careful about that. They will chase you for anything possible just to get some more money.
On top of that, they entered my room without permission while I was out on a city tour and when my luggage bags were all open. They didn’t even apologize when I came back. I never asked for housekeeping services, and I believe no one should enter the room unless I request it. This felt like a serious breach of privacy. They asked me to check if any items were stolen and report when I had a flight in 30 minutes and had to go through some of my stuff but it was not possible having 4 bags. If time would have permitted, I would have lodged a formal complain to the tourist police in Uzbekistan.
The whole experience was frustrating, and I would advise others to avoid this place. The rest of Uzbekistan was amazing, with very friendly and helpful people. Our stays in Samarkand, Bukhara, and even another hotel in Tashkent were wonderful, but this place really let us down.
