Silk Road Tuoyi Homestay

On the first night after arriving at the Pamir Plateau, I suddenly wanted to stay in a yurt, so I came across this B&B. The B&B is just a few kilometers away from Taxkorgan County - next to G304. You can just get off the bus early on the way to Taxkorgan County. You don't have to go to Taxkorgan County to get there. Of course, if you are hungry, you can go to Taxkorgan County to eat yak hotpot before coming back. After coming back, I found that this B&B was located in a Tajik village. A few children surrounded me and took me to their home to drink milk tea and see the horses. There will be a sheep-catching competition next week! I slept well at night. There was floor heating in the yurt and I didn’t need to use the oxygen tank I brought with me. The lady at the front desk is a Uyghur girl, super pretty and considerate, with a pair of big eyes as pure as the snow-capped mountains. The comrades at the police station were guarding the village right next to the yurts, and we felt very safe. The next morning, I was amazed by the atmosphere of the Karakoram Mountains, covered with a faint morning glow. This is a great place to experience the life of the Tajik people. Because I had a mild altitude sickness, I was worried that it would get worse if I stayed there for another day and night, so I left the plateau. I accidentally left my watch in the B&B. The owner of the B&B called me and said that he would be going to Kashgar in two days, so in order to save me the payment on delivery, he said he would deliver it to Kashgar for me. So thoughtful. Made me feel at home as a solo traveler.

The room was very clean. It was acceptable that there was no bathroom. However, the yurt was not soundproof. The cars from the village drove by at night and I couldn't sleep at all.
