We stayed 3 nights and had the best wildlife encounters of our entire 2 week Australia trip here. The kids fed parrots by hand on the treehouse deck every morning, there was always at least one friendly pademelon hopping around below us, and we got to see our first platypus after just 15 mins of exploring the trails around the property. The highlight was the resident Cassowary who took a stroll through our carport one evening and made us feel like extras in a Jurassic Park movie. If you or your kids are interested in wildlife then this place is a very cool experience. It helps that the hosts are super friendly too, and the location is a great base for exploring the tablelands (Jaques coffee plantation and Millaa Millaa falls were highlights). Highly recommended

Our anniversary stay at Canopy Treehouses was simply unforgettable. Nestled high in the rainforest, it felt like our own private world — peaceful, beautiful, and alive with wildlife. From curious possums and colourful birds to the incredible moment of spotting a platypus, every day felt special. The treehouse was stunning, with every detail thoughtfully done, and waking to the morning light and birdsong was pure magic. The perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and create memories we’ll treasure forever. ⸻

Four of us recently spent 2 nights at the Canopy Treehouse. It was great, very quiet and relaxing, amazing walks, saw tree kangaroos for the 1st time and shy platypus. Would like to stay longer on our next visit. Gill & Dave

Great couple of days - good base to explore the Tablelands and all that it has to offer. The accommodation itself was perfect for our family with the bedroom and then mezzanine for the kids. We saw heaps of wildlife, including the Turtles in the river, Tree Kangaroo and hand-fed various birds from the deck area. We enjoyed the trails to walk through the rainforest! Nice touches, like the small pots of bird and turtle food left for the guests.

This place is just beautiful and peaceful. I stayed with my girlfriend in a Treehouse and we saw many types of birds, platypus, cassowaries, pademelons, possums just from the balcony. Probably the best place to stay in the tablelands, highly recommended.

A short stay at this rain forest lodge. Clean and comfortable given its location and well equipped. Plenty of space for four if that's what you need and a well equipped kitchen with gas BBQ. Minor grumbles about response to request for some kindling for the fire but otherwise I'd recommend. Plenty of wildlife about including tree kangaroos, wear gumboots if you are walking in the forest as there are leeches when wet. Defo not an eco lodge.

What we love the most is the animals that came to our balcony day (various birds, like the Victoria's Riflebird family, King Parrot couple, emerald dove) and night (a possum family). Bird seeds and turtle food are provided. The kitchen is well-equipped. There are also walking trails.
