Palazzo Matà Boutique Hotel

Good option for the area Nice size room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, breakfast with several options. They have a few parking spots in front. Area was not my favorite but this was a good option in Taranto.

We chose this hotel mainly for its location and the description on Booking, which seemed to indicate that the room had a balcony with a sea view. Unfortunately, the reality was different: the view was of a ghetto alley, not the sea as we expected. Since the hotel is located by the sea, we assumed the description referred to a sea view, which left us quite disappointed. Considering that the description of rooms with a sea view is the same as the rooms without a sea view, this is a misrepresentation and not a misunderstanding. Furthermore, the entire hotel smells fishy because inside the hotel, in front of the reception desk, there is the back door of a seafood restaurant. Such back door is always open and the smells from the kitchen spread to the upper floors. We also had difficulty to park and the reception support by telephone was quite poor. Considering the above, our personal opinion is that the hotel doesn't deserve 4 stars and that the hotel organisation uses misleading trick to attract customers..... Never again

Perfect hotel Perfect hotel. Great help, superb diner, friendly, smooth silk beds, own parking when available, vibrant admosfere, nice lounge in front. Few minor issues: internet slow (many hotels in Italy), shower not as hot as we wanted, extra shiplike windows in our room, no way to cover from the sunlight and be aware, ceilings and doorways in some cases low. Hurt my head going to the bathroom (1,95cm).
