Tucked away in the old stables at Cliveden House is the Astor Grill - the hidden gem. A wide ranging but always delicious menu offering salads, fish and meat dishes and much more. With tables outside on the spacious terrace or inside where in times gone by the horse would be tied up, the Astor Grill has a relaxed vibe with excellent service. Great for lunch or supper. Enjoy! We did once again……

We booked an afternoon tea to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. The whole experience was outstanding. The food was superb, with excellent attentive service by all. We felt very special to be seated in such a superb dining room overlooking the beautiful gardens. Thank you for making our day so special.

Historic country house in rural setting only a few miles from London. Calm homely atmosphere. Attentive staff always on hand. Superb evening meal in Astor Stables and impressive breakfast in the dining room. Very comfortable bedroom, large bathroom with huge bath. Expensive but excellent value.

Visited the spa with my partner to celebrate my birthday and I cannot speak highly enough of the whole day. Wonderful location, brilliant set up, and truly great staff. Massive thank you in particular to Naresh, Olena, Eliza and Tsveta for being so kind, considerate, and accommodating all day, and for making my birthday feel ao special!

Cliveden is a magical place. I've stayed there several times when visiting from the U.S. and have never been disappointed. This time I came with my new husband and a band of 20 friends to have a "buddymoon." My husband and I stayed in the Lady Astor Suite, which has a massive terrace overlooking the grounds and the most opulent, grand bedroom with an impressive fireplace. But all the rooms are beautiful. We hosted a cocktail party on the first floor terrace, a boating outing on the Thames, and a formal dinner in the French Dining Room. We also took part in falconry and walked for miles on the beautiful grounds. The staff (especially Violette) made sure everything came off perfectly. If there was a problem it was fixed immediately and with no fuss. We enjoyed lazing by the pool and having treatments at the spa. It was the perfect country house party!

I was gifted a spa day at Clivedon and was expecting very high things for the cost of the day. The setting is beautiful and I can’t fault the staff and how welcoming they are. I was emailed 3 days before saying children were able to use the pool throughout the day. I was brought the spa day as I work with children and this is an opportunity to be away from children all day so this was disappointing for me but I thought maybe there won’t be any. I was wrong and there were young children around the pool most of the day and this ruined the peaceful day I was wanting. I had a lovely massage included in my package and the lady was fantastic. Afternoon tea was in the main house so I had to re dress to walk over to the house. Would have been nice if they would have offered to serve it in the bar area so save me having to get dressed and presentable for the restaurant. The afternoon tea was lovely and staff were so lovely. I think they need to advertise that this spa is open to children who obviously are staying at the hotel or parents have memberships as I wouldn’t have gone to be honest.
